Blyth Spartans

Post by Old Git » Fri Sep 18, 2020 6:01 pm

Just seen on local BBC news Blyth’s game at Pooly tomorrow called off as one of their players has tested positive for Covid. Reported that their squad now have to isolate for 14 days which will surely have a massive impact on their pre season preparations.

This situation could happen to any club at any time - I will be surprised if the upcoming season runs to plan TBH.

Have you seen the story about Nomads?
How arrogant and stupid.
I do hope the authorities throw the book at them, and hard.

I don't know. It feels like comments taken out of context.

There is a difference between feeling ill (dodgy stomach) and exhibiting Coronavirus symptoms.

The FA (assume FAW are similar) are clear that is high temperature, a new continuous cough, loss of or change to sense of smell or taste.

Can you throw a book at someone for a breach of "guidance" anyway. If you want to throw books at people start turning guidance into regulation and stop sitting on the fence.

When you have already got 3 confirmed cases of Covid in the club then yes it was stupid risk to take
