Youth team
Just seen on the official website Youth team manger Paul Thomas and head coach Mathew Coad have resigned.
AA to take temporary charge until replacement found. David Atkinson and Jarrett Rivers to assist.

Re: Youth team
wonder if Lee Cattermole has seen this? Could be the start into management he wants under AA's wing.

Re: Youth team
Very disappointing news, since they moved out of BM I’d heard things weren’t going so smoothly. A real shame as they appeared to have a really good initial set up and financially run well makes the club decent income. Hope the club don’t ditch the Academy.
Re: Youth team
Why did the academy move from BM and where is it based now?

Fail to understand why they were based in the Dolphin Centre and had to travel to Billingham.Surely BM is the obvious base for both ?

Re: Youth team
Think our commercial manager arranged for the academy team to play at Billingham, after the original first option he put forward had problems with drainage on the pitch

Dolphin Centre surprises me though - suggests our academy exclusively train on gym floor / indoor surface?
I can see why they wouldn't be based at BM as I suspect training is midweek nights which without floodlights can't really take place at BM. Thought they would be on a 4G at one of the schools like the first team are.

Re: Youth team
Would love to know the reasons for the resignation like, I've seen tweets and other things on Social Media slagging parts of the board off, now swiftly deleted.

Two or three people seem to be intent on stirring things up and doing their best to undermine things behind the scenes.
Re: Youth team
Surely this is a private matter, if these two resigned it was because they had personal reasons to do so, com,on let's not make a mountain out of a molehill.
They resigned it was accepted end of, the club moves on.

Re: Youth team
The posts seen indicated that they left because of 'personal reasons'.
There's been an awful lot of drama on social media the last few days, with certain people proper stirring the pot.
Re: Youth team
Going off at a bit of a tangent....the draw for the early rounds in various FA cup competitions were made today. The only one we featured in was the FA Youth cup - drawn away in first qualifying round to Pickering town or Cleator Moor Celtic.
