Player and goal of the season

Post by Alfie » Sat Aug 08, 2020 9:05 am

Had a twitter thing this morning from the club about voting for the player and goal of the season. Details also on the club site.

Voting closes Monday.

Wouldn't have thought there's too much doubt about player of the season - he's also in the short list for the goal.

While I agree Hatfield was our best player, the one that for me was exciting to watch was Donawa, so voted for him, Goal Campbell vs York.

For me Hatfield for his consistency and energy and that Wheatley goal at Walsall-it was massive for our club and fans.

Went for Campbell Vs Farsley for the goal. Difficult angle and not a lot of space. Hatfield were well hit but he had about a month to line up his shot in both cases.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.

Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Totally agree re Wheatley’s goal at Walsall. Definitely my goal of the season. Best moment since the trophy

Agreed, but how do we get it added to the list of options?

No mention of Thommo or his 100th goal, but tbh not his best season or goal. A legendary part of the rebirth of the club though

Well done Will Hatfield. Speaks volumes when a player wins both the player of the year awards voted for by the Fans and by their fellow players.

Personally went for Campbell's goal vs York for goal of the season, love watching the ball go in off the bar like that. But Hatfield v Kiddy would have been a very close second.

Looking forward to another good year from Hatfield, hopefully some more players can push him close this season.

Player of the year, Hatfield, his goal against Kiddy, goal of the season is my choice.

Awards are well deserved hope Will can do something similar again next season.Hopefully we will have loads of competition for the awards in 20/21 after a really successful season.
