If its costing clubs up to £50k each to take part in the play offs, and only one team can go up, the other 5 clubs potentially are going to need to find a lot of money to ensure they don't have increased debts/ reduced budgets for next season

Might be a blessing in disguise that we weren't in the play-off places. Can you imagine the "debate" on here if you / I / we had to make the decision to gamble that much of our club's money?

  Chairman Jason McGill said: “Yet again the Vice Presidents have committed to support the club during this challenging time. We are honoured to have such an enthusiastic and dedicated group supporting the club and, in this instance, helping to fund part of the pay-off campaign.”
Pay-off for who Jason mcGill, strange wording from Mr McGills statement.

I think it is right that had we been in the position it would have been a case of asking the owners whether they wanted to fund it or not.

If enough fans funded it knowing the risk then fair enough. Personally I don't think I would have put my hand in my pocket to participate in that particular lottery (but it is a bit hypothetical...)

Um, the reason why all the clubs have to find the money is because there will be no supporters at any of the playoff matches...

Not sure if any of the playoff games will be on TV. Also wonder where York would play, one last game at Bootham Crescent or first at Monk's Cross?
