Don't think Sunderland will be very happy at the prospect of another season in the League 1 wilderness!!!

They've surely got to sort out promotion & relegation issues between the leagues first?

There was never going to be a ‘fair’ way to finish the season. Any way you look at it some teams were going to suffer, it just became a case of who’s self interest would win out:
- teams in automatic places wanted PPG
- Play-off teams want to play for a chance to go up
- mid-table didn’t care as long as they didn’t have to incur cost and take players off furlough
- relegation threatened want it called on PPG
- relegation places either play on or null and void

Finally a common sense decision that could/should have been taken weeks ago. PPG is the fairest way to sort it out and lets hope it will be accepted by those involved. Talk of legal proceedings are really not helpful.

Pete, by chance I went to what turned out to be the last ever game at Bootham Crescent. Hereford beat York in a most entertaining way. A game they (York) needed to win and expected to win. Home form has cost them here, or may have done if PPG thwarts them.

Yes they only have themselves to blame if they don't go up & if they don't will there owner throw everything at one last attempt to get them promoted next season. The signs are that they are cutting back along with many others. Does that give us more of an opportunity, quite possibly?

This is the beauty of having a fan owned club and generating your own income you now know that every pound you raise is going to go to it's rightful and intended cause and not be used to prop up some business man's ailing company.
