Rocking up at Hartlepool as their new Chief Exec. Also still a Darlo shareholder...

He must be really up for a challenge to take this on, not sure what happened to him after Hearts but the thought of working under you know who plus appeasing the Poolie fans makes it too good to turn down.

Always thought Martin Jesper was a decent bloke who did well for us. Some may be critical for allowing Gray to overspend his budget but he faced a tough job in those early years after our enforced demotion.
His appointment at Pools is interesting as I believe he is a specialist at turning around failing businesses. Reading between the lines it looks like they are in a lot of financial trouble. This may be the opportunity they need to reform the club along more sustainable lines. Could be Singh’s last fling of the dice.

I see the poolie bunker Hartlepool fans equivalent of darlo uncovered remains locked. Does anybody know if they have closed it down permanently ? Have their supporters fallen out with each other ? Or is Raj Singh up to his old tricks banning freedom of speech.

Would that be Hearts who were relegated this season? Raj S must be looking for a friendly face, but also a sign of the troubles at Pools

Same as Old Git, I thought Martin Jasper did well for us. He brought some stability into running the club, (no disrespect to the previous board who were volunteers and had a hard job balancing the books with the carry over of debt). He always seemed to make it to a few Darlo games after he left to.

He was very honest, if not brutally honest at times re our position financially and future choices he thought we may have to make. Think the Hearts job came about because of his experience of our fan owned process.

In my opinion he moved the club a step forward and the club has moved on yet again under the leadership of David J.

Assume Hartleppol want to move forward to more fan involvement financially, and Raj must see him as the man to do it.

I am a little surprised about this for a few different reasons.

When Jesper was at the club he always seemed to be fairly integral & professional, all the things Singh is not.

Ironically, Jesper spent a lot of time sorting out the mess Singh created (legacy debt).

No doubt Singh is impressed with what Jesper did here (I am sure the club launched an equity scheme under his tenure?). This is exactly the type of thing that Singh wants to cover the clubs losses.

The challenging aspect for Jesper is that he won’t be selling shares with the view of a majority ownership.

See Hignett is still owed money as well.

Singh did the same with Cooper & Dryden.

Simon Davey also took the football club (under Singh’s tenure) to an employment tribunal over unlawful deduction of wages & unpaid holiday entitlement......and won.

I’m not surprised that Hignett is still chasing his severance package.

Hearts were expelled from the league - not relegated. If reconstruction of the leagues in Scotland doesn’t happen, Hearts chairwoman Ann Budge is taking the SPFL to court. The SPFL head (Neil Doncaster) is shitting himself at this prospect so I expect reconstruction to happen

I see Rangers have come up with this alternative to what Budge proposed. Wonder if it will have legs.

You then replied “Who cares tbh”, which is in itself a comment (the implication being you don’t care).

If you don’t care, there’s no reason to reply directly. Therefore, because you replied, you evidently do care.

Bizarre you’re trying to deny that you even responded.

If that is so why did you not comment on the comment about Martin and not a reply to that comment?

It will have legs as it’s now The Rangers proposing something.
