Hope this isn't one of those vivid lockdown dreams being talked about, but it does seem kind of surreal.

Anybody fancy starting a budget the booster scheme so we can fund a vaccine to start the New season on schedule - joking apart what a fantastic effort by everyone concerned this is what happens when your club gets run by honest trustworthy people. It only seems like yesterday when if you bought a 50/50 ticket at feethams you'd have to ridiculously hit the crossbar three times at half time to supposedly win a car whilst a certain chairman trousered all the money if anything proves fan owned clubs are the way forward rather than ones ran by another false Messiah who promises the world look no further than the events tonight.

These are donations made offline via cheque/BACS that have arrived late and need to be manually added

Just been online on the Echo website & there's no mention of our final total, I'm sure they could have got round to mentioning it or don't they start work until after lunch?

Does anyone know of last years pledges how much did the club actually receive? Only ask as people circumstances change.I know the issues the guy who does sponsor a goal has sometimes collecting money.

Magnificent effort, we should all be proud of what’s been achieved.

Be proud, saviour the moment and don’t feed the trolls.

Disappointed?! Think you need to give your head a shake. In the normal world we managed to get around 500 to contribute but there are people losing jobs, frightened about future income, worried about a lot more than a non league football club and still we're pushing towards the target. I'm amazed we've got this far and proud of this incredible effort.
That's my opinion which we are all entitled to.
What is wrong with being disappointed if we fail to hit 700 contributions. We averaged over 1300 last season and there will be several thousand other supporters out there who don't get to games on a regular basis as well as those exiled.
If you’re expecting a 40% increase in the number of investors from last season, given the current situation with a major pandemic, many people either furloughed or losing their jobs, and a deep recession looming, you’re wildly incorrect with your expectations.

You’re entitled to your opinion, but by the same logic other people can tell you your opinion is going to be way off.
Not often you're wrong gramps definitely given my head a shake at some of the comments.

Boost the budget

One caveat - have we had 700+ separate investors, or 700+ contributions? There’s a difference, as obviously some people might have contributed more than once.

If it’s the first, more than happy to admit I underestimated it.

Not quite sure most other clubs have our fairly unique situation. Be surprised if anyone gets anywhere near our fans' fantastic commitment

Not sure if it has been resolved, but at start of lockdown, the Kings Lynn supporters club were refusing to pay funds they had raised to the club as they had issues with the owner. There was also some concerns as to whether he would continue to fund the club.

If those issues are unresolved, then its unlikely that their appeal will raise a large sum.

So we were half way between the two, 500 and 700 ish. The comment was about you saying disappointed. As it stands we're all probably "delighted"!

Spen, I hope you've been advising Kings Lynn as fully as you do us? You must have loads of time on your hands to be here, at Kings Lynn, reading and sharing obscure Boston tweets. How's the Spennymoor fundraising going? Please find time to update us.

Gloucester City aren't letting their Boost the Budget inertia get in the way of splashing the cash. After a month they had raised £596 from 23 donors towards their £10,000 target. But that hasn't stopped them from signing Chester top scorer Akwasi Asante (rumoured to have been on £750 a week) and George Carline, a full-time player with Solihull Moors.

Looks like they are going for it on the pitch as well as building a new ground back in the city. Seems quite fearless in these difficult times especially considering that in April the chairman said the club was struggling to stay afloat. They'll also be relieved to get back to playing in Gloucester as their last match at Evesham attracted a crowd of just 161.

Here we go again, wealthy benefactors throwing money at vanity projects with unsustainable fan bases.Brackley, Spenny, Gateshead, Harrogate,Solihull, and now Gloucester.Just what is the logic in throwing away small fortunes on these clubs.Just don’t get it.

What about the previous owners, and don’t they have a consortium of businessmen currently financing them?
