Boost the budget
Re: Boost the budget
It would be great if we could hit 110k before the Netcafe with Alan tomorrow night. What he says or reveals could influence another surge leading up to the deadline.
Looking at other clubs and the issues they are facing who would have thought that they would now be taking note of what Darlo is doing.
Credit must go to all of those people involved in the club.

Re: Boost the budget
It would only take a cracking CF signing and the £110k target would be smashed and possibly well on the way to £120k.quakerste wrote:It would be great if we could hit 110k before the Netcafe with Alan tomorrow night. What he says or reveals could influence another surge leading up to the deadline.

Well done to all involved... Let's push it on.
Re: Boost the budget
I am I suppose one of the luckier ones in this pandemic, as I am on a pension, therefore cant lose my job and to be honest saving money as pubs are shut, (in pub with mates normally most days and don't like drinking at home), and saving on fuel for the car. So while previously upped my monthly contribution from last year, have put in a one off sum as part of the savings to round the overall amount for the year up.
The fans at the club are fantastic, and the club is well led and managed, great period for the club beckons ahead.
If we could get around 100 more people to donate £10 per month the £120k "new" target would be achieved. That wont be easy given the current situation for a lot of fans to be honest, (think I will be having a push on my walking pal today re donating ).

Re: Boost the budget
Pretty much sums up my situation as well, and may well be replicated more than some might think as we still have a lot of fans in that baby boom demographic. I too have upped my monthly contributions this year as I have 'come into money' by way of finally qualifying for a national pension, so am feeling a bit more flush than this time last year. And as you say, the virus has had a seriously positive effect on my outgoings anyway, with no holidays, trips out and jollies down the pub. Have saved a fortune! So why not donate some to Darlo. I know that this isn't the situation everyone finds themselves in, and am sorry that it is taking its toll on many families both mentally and financially. But despite this the fans are, once again, showing an amazing capacity to dig deep and raise a fabulous amount of money. Great stuff everyone.50 years wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 7:32 amI am I suppose one of the luckier ones in this pandemic, as I am on a pension, therefore cant lose my job and to be honest saving money as pubs are shut, (in pub with mates normally most days and don't like drinking at home), and saving on fuel for the car. Re: Boost the budget
As expected things have gone quiet on the btb front, how realistic is it to expect a surge over the weekend & is DJ's £120k still possible? I know that personally I'll be putting more money in even though my personal financial position is far from sound.

Re: Boost the budget
£110,467 from 529 investors (I appreciate that these are not individual investors, more individual pledges).
That said, how many ‘pledges’ did we have last season? I believe that it was 532 but happy to stand corrected. Another milestone that looks set to be beaten.

Re: Boost the budget
Wouldn't be surprised if we hit the 120k and finish with around 125k
Re: Boost the budget
Yeah 532. Or is it 3-5-2? Or 5-2-1-2Darlofan97 wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2020 8:42 pm£110,467 from 529 investors (I appreciate that these are not individual investors, more individual pledges).

Isn't one of your growing band of Darlo brothers a Texan oil baron just biding his time with a fistful of dollars ready for Super Sunday

I wish Loidlucan
Trust me I have tried, it's hard enough to get them say Football instead of Socccccer.
If you were up to speed on Oil Tycoons you would know you can't give oil away at the moment, in fact it costs money to sell it.
Some have actually generously donated to BTB fund, sadly not enough to make us a challenger for the Premiership, you need to be an Arab to do that.
Re: Boost the budget
Ah well, we'll have to shamelessly make Captain Tom an honorary vice-president and do a couple of circuits of BM. That should see us to a few mill

Re: Boost the budget
£114,400.
I'm still waiting for the right time to put mine in.
There will be others wanting to be part of the last day rush.
120k is odds on now, good chance of 125k and an outside chance of 130k I reckon.`
