The Darlo Varieties

I've noticed a few references to the teams tendency to hit a bad patch after going well for a longer period. This has been attributed to a quirk of Alan Armstrongs management as it seemed to happen when he was at Blyth. There will be a few factors involved but Saturdays performance was like the poor show at Leamington which prefaced a good result against Chester and more good stuff to follow until the last two games. Why should this be so ? Is it down to the 'transitional' aspect of this campaign and his laudable desire to see what he's got ? Reaching fifth place for a week was great so he's doing a lot right and must be thinking longer term.

No manager wins every week regardless. Okay...most managers don’t.
