Justin Donowa

I haven't had the opportunity to watch us live this season, but is fair to say we might have unearthed a bit of a gem in Donowa?

At the start of the season he was on the fringes but seems to be firmly in AA's plans now. At only 23 Im sure a L2/National league side would be happy to take a punt on him. With all due respect to Harvey Saunders we managed to get Fleetwood to part with 10K for him.

Think we have some great assets within the squad in regards to players who could potentially get back into the full time game. Based on age and ability I think Donawa, Storey and Wheatley should certainly be on the radar of some clubs from higher divisions.

Agree with the above all 3 are young enough and talented enough to play higher.
Donawa is a real gem who is improving week by week. He has everything you would be looking for in a young striker. He is fast, skilful ,good in the air ,brave, and scores goals. Will be very surprised if full time clubs are not watching his progress.

It's also good that we have a young striker like Campbell who seems able to create goals out of nothing and should get to 20 goals this season.

Donawa always looked threatening earlier in the season but remember he had a habit of dragging his shots wide. Seems to have really got some confidence now.

His natural attributes particularly his pace and leap aren't really things you can learn so he should appear a good prospect.

There was a Peterborough scout there on Saturday, a club known for finding gems in Non-League!

Does anyone know if Donowa is contracted, and if so what length? He's been getting better week by week, so I would hate to lose him for no fee.

Contracted till the end of the season, with a 1 year option from what I've heard.

I hope we activate that one year option as soon as possible. I wouldn't stand in the lad's way, just want to make sure we get some cash in for him.

I think he's a football league player. The more and more I see of him, he gets better, and because of his age, clubs will be alert to him. I reckon he could well be our top scorer this season (if we keep him beyond January! Although maybe if someone takes a change on him now, they might loan him back to us for the rest of the year anyway to keep him playing... but it depends who it is).

I’m not sure if any scouts read this board but if they do I’m sure has a 3 year contract and a 250k minumum release clause. Same with Campbell and Hatfield I believe. Or was it 300k? They won’t be cheap anyway.

Don't forget the 50% sell on clause
