Going for the league championship, Kings Lynn’s win over York assists their chance of winning the championship

Breaking away from the playoff chasing pack, Brackley now take third place.

In the playoff hunt, today’s result had teams rising nicely (Guiseley & Darlington), others dropping (Altrincham, Farsley, Southport). With seven teams bunched between 37 to 39 points, this is likely to be a weekly occurrence. The playoff contenders will maintain better form than the pretenders who will fall away. Southport, Farsley and possibly Spennymoor could be that type of team.

The inconsistents, teams that look too strong to be relegated, but too inconsistent to move towards the playoff group. The big mover was Curzon Ashton, pounding Farsley 4-0 and pulling away from Blyth who’s game was postponed.

Play off race looks wide open doesn't it? Four points between 5th and 12th means it only takes one slip to drop out and be the ones playing catch up again.

Exciting to be part of the pack though, what a job Armstrong is doing in between childcare.

Given all our injuries it's a miracle. We now have our entire first choice back 4 out. Given that and our next few weeks I don't expect us to stay there, but the pressure's off us anyway.

Even Sean Reid slotted in at CB as though he had played there all season. We have lads now who can play in several different positions which allows for injuries and they don’t look out of place.
Special mention about Jordan Watson yesterday, good solid game, never lets us down and seems like he may be drafted into CB on Tuesday if Tez and Storey don’t make it.Yet another good signing by AA.

It's a shock that fulltime Kidderminster are in danger of dropping into the bottom 2.

I'm so glad we won against Alfreton, some teams in our division try to play watchable football but unfortunately they don't - and a mini shout out to HarryChartonsCat who predicted mid September that "The league season is over as far as play-offs are concerned". I'm not having a pop here Harry but Septmember's a bit early to be thinking like this - and I hope you are glad that things are working out better than you thought.

Whether or not we can maintain this position is another matter, but today we sit in a play off place.

It just goes to show that our league is very unpredictable & if a team can string a great set of results, you can very quickly rise up the table. I felt really sorry for the Alfreton fans having to watch that every week, it must be depressing.

That thread is hilarious. I also like darlo2001uk’s comments saying he could see us getting into a relegation battle.
