Probably in the same place as the GALE force winds and rain that YOU predicted were going to happen during last weeks match.

Telford? Their game v Blyth is postponed but rest all seem to be on. Quite a few interesting clashes which will affect promotion chasers.

A big day out for York today, away to Kings Lynn.
They still haven’t got the go ahead to move stadium and I wonder if they will be forced to move in with a handful of important home fixtures left to play?

Not ideal for them at all. They lost out on some lucrative pre-season friendlies when the project slipped last year.theoriginalfatcat wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2020 11:01 amA big day out for York today, away to Kings Lynn.

OT I know but my YCFC supporting mate tells me that this is their first overnight stay of the season. JM obviously tightening the purse strings after blowing £3M on useless managers and players
Really OT but my Darlo mug has come out of the dishwasher faded and pink. I hope its not an omen for the rest of the season

Pretty much a perfect 90 mins that. Didn’t dominate but solid at the back against their direct approach and clinical at the other end.

The playoffs are very much on. They barely laid a glove on us in the second half and we seem to have good reliable options all over as in the successful switch of Reid to defence. We deserve better crowds... National League here we come

Re: Darlington V Alfreton
Biggest worry is our lack of fit defenders. Liddle out for several weeks with a hamstring injury,no Storey today and Galbraith coming off injured at h/t. Reid did well there 2nd half but we are really struggling if Storey and Tez unavailable for Tuesday.

A victory for football.
If I was an Alfreton player I’d be wanting a transfer because they will be under instructions to play like this way every game, we as Darlo fans only have to watch this one dimensional team twice a season. And we’ve beaten them twice to boot.

Another looming personnel problem is that I think Wheatley is now on 9 yellows, one away from a two-game ban. And he's in great form.

I agree with you about the crowds , the football we are playing we deserve a few hundred more at leastLoidLucan wrote:The playoffs are very much on. Good win today, we did get caught out a few times at the back , I thought we looked more solid in the second half, Ned Storey back for Tuesday if possible

Re: Darlington V Alfreton
Good to see us climb into the top 7, it will be interesting to see how long we can remain in the playoffs considering that other clubs have games in hand, scoreboard pressure may play it's part. At the very least at the moment we are playing with confidence and belief that we can go and beat anyone so long may it continue and maybe we can firmly establish ourselves as playoff contenders.
"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

Re: Darlington V Alfreton
First half thought we were lucky to be winning they had some one on one`s but could do nothing with them, second half we were excellent and deserved the final scoreline big games coming up Tuesday and Saturday
Re: Darlington V Alfreton
Campbell took his chances very calmly so no surprise he took MOTM. Having said that, he was pushed very hard for it bý several others, including Reid who did a great job in 2nd half as he stepped in for injured Galbraith. Donawa always a handful & capped it off with the final goal. Elliott kept a clean sheet despite lots of pressure from huge forwards. Hatfield & Wheatley battling away in midfield. Tactically AA had the measure of Alfreton & used the subs well. Good football to watch & 3 points well won which have got us into a play-off spot. Hope we can maintain this push now we have a run of away games at some of our play-off rivals.
Re: Darlington V Alfreton
Billy Heath constant screaming at his players must be off putting. In the second half we said to the number 6 when he came off how do you put up with him after being berated most of the match. He just said ‘I know’. Same question to one of the subs warming up was the same answer, but he did say he’s not like that in the changing room, just on the pitch. I was a bit surprised that they said anything at all.
Re: Darlington V Alfreton
Mad Dog Billy seemed particularly irked by our second goal which he seemed to think was offside.

Re: Darlington V Alfreton
Thought today was a great performance, quality first goal by Campbell. Thought our defence was excellent, considering it was a makeshift formation. Thought Reid had a great game in the heart of defence in the second half. Can't wait for Guiseley on Tuesday evening, hope we get plenty of people going to cheer us on.
