I see Kettering did a Spenny today and tried to pretend their pitch was OK and allowed players and fans from Hereford to travel before it was inevitably called off just an hour and a half before kick-off. The pitch at Kettering looked nearly as bad as the Football League standard surface at Spennymoor the other night.....

To be fair to Kettering, the tide had only literally just gone out when that bottom picture was taken.

The worrying thing is we'll have to face the Spring tide at Kettering-by-the Sea :D

I think you will find that the spennymoor pitch was ok when altrincham set off, and it was only small area where the linesman had been running previously, whereas Kettering had been waterlogged since Tuesday.

Yes polar bear but as I pointed out in an earlier post it’s Spennymoors own fault because the touch line is so close to the barriers and Jason and Co are up and down like a fiddlers elbow complaining all the time. The much abused linesman has no choice but to run on the pitch. Now please go away and look at the NLN League Table .

That can't be right the pride of Durham, is below us in the table. Wonder when Ainsley will get a vote of confidence?

Anything Kettering can do, Barnet can do better.

They called their Trophy game with Farsley off 10 mins before kick off because of a frozen pitch.

Anyone watch the Tranmere v Manchester United game, good job the ref who called Spennymoor v Altrincham game off was not in charge, one small bit of the pitch at spennymoor, tranmere was like a muddy field.
I rest my case.

It can't be cash - it must be vibes. Brad doesn't have any cash - which is probably why their new fence wasn't structurally sound.

I'm not wishing this to happen (honest) but the way things are panning out I could imagine Spennymoor having a mega meltdown during some future game.

It's just that the players and management seem so pumped up all the time - and the pressure might blow with multiple sendings off/that sort of thing.

With a big budget, more is expected.
