I think you need to involve a lot more teams in the relegation battle, probably up to Leamington, as Blyth recent surge in form, has changed them from a dead & buried side, into a side that is odds on to avoid relegation. Great read Ginge as per usual.

Alferton is a big game for both sides. Either could go into a playoff position.

Yes, too early to rule Alfreton out and agree it is a big game for both sides. They did not play this weekend so will be fresher. Perhaps we were lucky to avoid playing Boston this Sat, as lads looked a bit tired after Harrogate. AA needs time to shuffle the pack & bring back to match fitness a couple more lads from injury.

Technical 8 if you take into account the goal difference unless they smash in the goals then its 7..

Find myself agreeing with DP. Would put it as
BPA - dead and buried
Blyth and Curzon - relegation battle
Everyone else up to Alfreton -looking over their shoulder. This based on position, current form and games played. The only ones I would exclude would be Kettering who are on upward trajectory since new manager has taken over (Paul Fox I think)

It's good to see that we have a game in hand over the 4 teams above us, although Gateshead directly below us, do have 2 games in hand. Although a long way away the game at Gateshead towards the end of the season, could be crucial.

I have the screenshot but sadly, as it uses Spen’s real name, if I go off previous threats/warnings from the mods, I wouldn’t be allowed.

Unless Spen, given his challenge to me, is fine with it being posted.

Getting back on topic, I reckon a draw at Boston, a win for Kettering & a draw at Spennymoor, would suit us just fine.

Thanks Darlo_Pete, I'm waiting to see if Curzon Ashton or Blyth can consistently get points, as it is, they are the two stuck down there, Gloucester have games in hand, Kidderminster goal difference (-5) is a lot better than Curzon Ashton (-13), I think Hereford are the most vulnerable of the other teams

Alfreton need to show more consistency for me to believe they can be a playoff contender, they don't seem to be at a level like Altrincham.

Agreed, great work Ginge, I like looking at these too.

We have a great chance to push on, and I have every faith in this team to give it their all. What I really like the look of is our remaining fixtures. We've got a lot of the top teams over with away from home. Chester to come, who of course will fancy a spot of revenge. We've got Kings Lynn at home on the last day which could be crucial to both sides (and of course, could give us a bumper crowd, which would be very, very nice in terms of boosting the coffers ahead of next season).

At home, we've got:

Alfreton
Guiseley
Leamington
Brackley
Farsley
Curzon
Altrincham
Kings Lynn

Away:

Guiseley
Chester
Kiddy
Hereford
Telford
Gateshead
Kettering
Bradford PA
Southport

Looking at those, honestly I really fancy us against anyone at home these days... away from home, Chester for sure it a big ask... Gateshead I think may push on, but they just lost Kayode... we seem to always lose at Telford... but then i'm looking at Kettering, Bradford PA (we owe a mullering for that daylight robbery earlier in the year), and Kiddy as real opportunities for some points on the road.

That said, even if we finish in the top half this year but miss out on the playoffs, we've made such progress and played some good stuff along the way, I couldn't possibly be annoyed. Now, of course, is the time we've got to be looking at getting players nailed down for next season in the next couple of months. Good times to be a fan of the town after a couple of poor years

I think one of the problems we have is that we now have to play 4 re-arranged midweek away games & 1 at home. Naturally this will affect our away support, as 3 of the 4 away games are a fair distance & only Guiseley is relatively near & I would expect a large away following. Naturally if we are in the hunt for a play-off place then more fans will travel for those long distance midweek away trips.

We only have two midweek night games, Guiseley and Boston away.

We play Bradford Park Avenue away on Bank Holiday Friday 10th April & Home to Altrincham on Bank Holiday Monday 13th Apr.

Doesn't seem to tough a schedule so far.

I was just going on the fixtures on this website, which shows we have to arrange away games at Leamington & Gloucester. If that is the case then they will have to be midweek fixtures. I apologise if I was using the wrong info that was showing on this website.

We still have Leamington at home, but it’s a regular Saturday game. We’ve played them twice already, but once was the FA Cup.

The game in hand, which I missed, is Boston. Which will be tricky, but we can get something.
