Been all them second half by the sounds of it.

Missed opportunities in the first half.

That video of stewards shoving fans back into an area already disgracefully overcrowded is appalling, and should be sent to the FA. Appalling organisation, someone could get hurt, and how did those fences pass a safety inspection!?

Oh well, it's been a fantastic Christmas period, had to break eventually (bit like spenny's half arsed attempts at building a fence)

That second half was worse than Telford. Didn’t deserve anything.

Full time. A shame, sounds like one way traffic in the second half, and we've had chances earlier on we didn't make count.

Can't be too upset with the haul over this period though, and we've a chance to get back to winning ways in a few days.

I dare say we've not heard the last of this game. Utterly shambolic squeezing so many fans into that part of the ground, and unnecessary. Either allocate more seats, which didn't look to be full anyway and let fans spread out safely. Or... if you're only going to open that part of the ground, make the game all ticket, segregate it properly (not with a bit of tape) and make sure a safe amount of fans are in that area.

Apologies for my reactionary comment. Not nice to lose but we’re well ahead of expectations. Hopefully we can bounce back on Saturday

Better team won. However, Spennymoors organisation of this match was truly pathetic. I just hope nobody got seriously hurt. Shambolic stewarding, segregation provided by a bit of tape, and a safety barrier clearly not fit for purpose. BM isn’t perfect, Darlington FC isn’t perfect, but at least we can safely put a match on. Spennymoor should be ashamed of themselves

The FA will probably do us for a pitch invasion knowing them.
The blame shifting started early to be fair with Spenny trying to blame our fans. Very lucky no one was hurt by the looks of it. It shouldn't even happen in this day and age after all the warnings of the past that people are unsafe at football matches. Those pictures of Darlo fans crammed in are a real shocker and reminder of the past.
Anyway, Spenny are nailed on for the play-offs. It appears that there's 2 spots available, 6 th and 7th. Boston favourites for 6th, but 6 or 7 teams in the mix for the remainder, including ourselves still, but 10 points from 11 away games tells the story.

12 points out of 15, would never have thought we’d get such a good return.

Onto Gloucester on Saturday.

Agree with the above no complaints about the result apart from about 15mins before half time we were not at our best and Spennymoor were the better team in 2nd half.
As many of us predicted the segregation and stewarding was not up to standard.Heaven help Spenny if they get promoted and play Pools it would be chaos. Trying to move our fans back into what was already an overcrowded area was just ridiculous when there was loads of room for home fans.Hope nobody injured and lessons learned but fear we may be made scapegoats for a situation not of our making.

Absolutely shambolic organization today. How many of us where there? Notice not announced? How many came through the open gate?

Should have been all ticket limited to a set number.

It was a game that we could have won but we missed some decent chances combined with good saves by their keeper who was awarded man of the match. We just seemed to run out if steam in that second half and gave the ball away too much. But still a good festive period overall.

As far as the dangerous shambles off the field, it's amazing that no-one was seriously hurt. As plenty of us said in advance, the area allocated to our fans could not safely and comfortably house the numbers who travelled. The organisation of it led to two sets of fans separated by a few yellow jackets and some tape. It was always going to end badly and the easy collapse of fencing could have led to serious injury. The whole thing was appalling and dangerous and could have been avoided with more responsible planning by Spenny. Quite dreadful on their part.

The obvious troll should try far harder than that.

I see the usual suspects on Twitter are trying to blame darlington fans. Both sets of fans were goading each other, and there were a number of idiots on both sides. But you get that at any game involving a bit of spice. The major issues were entirely spennymoor towns fault. The barrier, which appeared not to be firmly secured to the ground anyway, collapsed when spennymoors stewards tried to kettle darlington fans into an already crowded space. It was awful to see. The segregation was a joke. And that’s before you get on to the ticketing situation and numbers allowed in.

Of course today was far far less serious, but anyone blaming darlington fans for the issues with the brewery field are no better than the Sun after Hillsborough

What’s your IQ you idiot.Anyone with a brain cell predicted there could be trouble with the away support we ALWAYS take for this game.
Groves and his team of amateurs are 200% responsible for this fiasco. Can they not count for God’s sake.

The planning, organisation, stewarding, safety and dodgy infrastructure that could have led to serious injury lies solely at Spenny's door. It was a real step back in time unfortunately.

Spennymoor's idea of crowd segregation was a red & white plastic tape, completely bonkers. They knew that there were loads of Darlo making the trip, but they seemed completely unprepared. Fine for Spennymoor coming up. Match was very disappointing, if we'd taken our chances we could have easily won it. Unfortunately our defence just kept lumping it out of defence & giving it straight back to them. They had some excellent crosses particularly from the right wing.

Completely farcical set up. To announce the day before the fixture that we would be given one side of the ground, with a capacity of 900, but not make it all ticket is ludicrous.

Entering the ground through effectively one turnstile should have been a warning for the farce to follow.

The decision to push our fans back towards a full terrace, after initially allowing us to use the additional standing area was intentionally dangerous. The fencing wasn't adequately secured also.

Don't get me started on the segregation being a piece of red and white tape.

Today was inevitable. Spennymoor planning was non-existent. The decision to push back our fans for, no obvious reason, appeared to be ego driven.

A farce and fortunately nobody was seriously injured.

Today was inevitable due to their completely ridiculous planning and greed.

Spenny fans all over the National League North and South messageboard also doing blame shifting. Lots of nice gas lighting going on there too, just like the Sun did. If you repeat something enough times, people begin to believe it.

Its all ok, Brad has some signings lined up, he has his priorities right! Sod the away fans, they only come once a season to be fleeced.
Apparently stewards were trying charge Darlo fans extra to sit as well, in contravention of league rules where all pricing has to be the same, eh Spen!!!
