Any important information is always on official site so I always check there. Darlo Pete have you contacted the club to get decision overturned or assuming they will read your post?

Re: Spennymoor Away
Why are we suddenly and obviously taking over 1,000? I bet we don't.

We certainly won’t now this news is out.Bound to put a fair few off, especially the ,shall we say, vertically challenged .Ghost_Of_1883 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2019 11:52 amWhy are we suddenly and obviously taking over 1,000? I bet we don't.
Re: Spennymoor Away
The combined number of people on that terrace in the two pictures is around 100, maybe a few more. It will be rammed. Tomorrow they will be cramming maybe around half the attendance into one restricted side of the ground. We are on a roll, winning and playing very well and it's New Year's Day and very close by.. A lot will travel.
Re: Spennymoor Away
I smell a bit of a rat over this. Why has it only been public the day before the game?
Re: Spennymoor Away
On another note, no mention of Gary Martin. Wonder if he'll be available for Gloucester.

Re: Spennymoor Away
Darlo fans have always created an intimidating atmosphere behind that goal every time we have played them which is to our benefit.LoidLucan wrote:This is an extremely poor decision and you suspect comfort and welfare of our fans hasn't been the main driver. No wonder it wasn't revealed until the last minute.
Just wonder if The Pride have cottoned on to this and nullify to some extent the impact our travelling support has on the team.

I was in Feethams when there was 21000 it will not be as packed as that
Re: Spennymoor Away
That side holds a thousand and with a block of seats behind the goal there will be ample room.
Roll on 3pm tomorrow.

Re: Spennymoor Away
Our support has been like a 12th man everytime we’ve played there. When we beat them in the northern league there was 2670 (Though I’ve been told the real figure was more like 3k but they weren’t meant to have that many in) so God knows how many we had that day. It’s always felt more like a home game so it looks as if they’re finally trying to stop that and break their duck against us. Telling us a day before is poor though it’s not as if all our fans live close by (Including myself)
Re: Spennymoor Away
It's not all ticket so plenty of room in the home end if required.
Re: Spennymoor Away
Why two times have you never heard of the word twice oh master of the Queens English ?Ghost_Of_1883 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2019 11:50 amThat side was around 5/6 steps deep wasn't it? If so, full length of the pitch it should accommodate 1,000 easily?
We only took c800 the last two times.
Re: Spennymoor Away
If anyone thinks there will be plenty of room, they're in for a shock.
Re: Spennymoor Away
Should there be any trouble at this game because of over loading one area of the ground, the only people to blame will be spennymoor for their shortsightedness in their shortcomings,
Common sense should tell them all they need to know about this fixture, it's not as we haven't played them several times over the last few years. COME ON SPENNYMOOR DO THE RIGHT THING. don't encourage trouble by overcrowding.

There is nothing wrong with using "two times" at the end of that sentence. You could use either that or "twice".Mister e wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2019 2:55 pmWhy two times have you never heard of the word twice oh master of the Queens English ?Ghost_Of_1883 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2019 11:50 amThat side was around 5/6 steps deep wasn't it? Unlike "has" instead of "as".
Re: Spennymoor Away
They(Moors) have had 6 months to get this right and have made a deliberate decision to inconvenience Darlo fans and only announce it at the last minute. The previous games away at Spenny have all been night games so we do not really know how many fans we will have but very poor from Spenny. They have gone down in my estimation and hope we give them a good hammering.onewayup wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2019 2:59 pmShould there be any trouble at this game because of over loading one area of the ground, the only people to blame will be spennymoor for their shortsightedness in their shortcomings,

Because none of these would make sense, in the context of the point being made:Mister e wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2019 2:55 pmWhy two times have you never heard of the word twice oh master of the Queens English ?Ghost_Of_1883 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2019 11:50 amThat side was around 5/6 steps deep wasn't it? Re: Spennymoor Away
I think the block of seats will be 200-250, and i think you will have small section behind the other goal.
It will be a big crowd as 1504 for gateshead game, with 244 away fans, and i fully expect more Spennymoor fans for this game than what turned up for gateshesd, and more darlo fans than gateshead, hope the frost dont put game in doubt though.

I don't think it matters when they announces what they ahve announced, different if they had made it all ticket and annoucned late.
Re: Spennymoor Away
The simplest, safest and most logical step was to house the Darlo fans standing together behind the goal, with a small overspill onto the side terrace if needed. Spenny would still have had three sides of the ground. This way of doing things could be asking for issues.

Re: Spennymoor Away
SpennymoorTown just posted on twitter that we have the side terrace and they are catering for 900.polarbear wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2019 3:26 pmI think the block of seats will be 200-250, and i think you will have small section behind the other goal.

I would have initially thought that'd be enough but of course I had failed to take into account that our last 2 matches at your places were midweek night matches.
Suddenly 1,000 or more doesn't seem that improbable. We could have a problem then.
Re: Spennymoor Away
I have got to say that some of the comments towards Spennymoor have been totally uncalled for and embarrassing at best. We have always been welcomed over there with little trouble and managed to squeeze in. Tomorrow will be no different. We will have all of one side and seating behind the goal no different to what we got at Harrogate.
Have a great New Year and get down to the Brewery Field to cheer the lads on. They are going to need it tomorrow.

Spennymoor Away
We took 891 to york last New Year’s Day. Now, of course York is a more attractive fixture, but spennymoor is closer than york and this season we are on a roll, whereas last season was awful, so I wouldn’t be surprised if more than 891 travel to spennymoor. I hope they’ve got contingency plans in place!
“Catered for 900 away fans” is a strange way of describing the situation too. What’s the actual capacity? Is it 900, or is there food available for 900
Surprisingly amateurish from spennymoor this

Re: Spennymoor Away
Having sampled that terrace and seen recent pictures and I'd be amazed if 900 people plus could be accommodated comfortably and safely on there.

Re: Spennymoor Away
You'll see tomorrow. And another thing, why's it being called the West Stand in their ground guide? If that's a stand then we had a Polam Lane Stand at Feethams

Re: Spennymoor Away
Agree with Lucan here, it's very narrow pretty much from the dugouts down to the seated area behind the goal.I reckon 1000 Darlo fans and will be a nightmare squeezing them all in.

If memory serves, the terrace from the top end to the dugouts is 4 steps and 3from the dugouts to the bottom end.Its gonna be snugGhost_Of_1883 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2019 5:04 pmWhy? Several steps deep and full pitch length, it'll hold 900 all day long.
On another point, have your bait before you get in the ground.£5 for a burger and £3 for a small tray of chips earlier this season when I went to see them play Chester.

Re: Spennymoor Away
The catering is in the middle of the west’stand’ so no chance of getting to it, unless you are stood in front of it. Same if you need a jimmy.Emdubya wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2019 6:09 pmGhost_Of_1883 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2019 5:04 pmWhy? Several steps deep and full pitch length, it'll hold 900 all day long.
