How far away is Wilson Kneeshaw from making a recovery.. I'd definitely give him another chance to impress.

With wilson it's a case of when he's fit to play he then has to get to matchday fitness before he's even considered. Time is what he needs.

I think that Wilson Kneeshaw fits in well with the sort of player that AA has plainly favoured. We have Thommo, Rivers, Campbell, Donawa, Bell, and Holmes that all appear to be attractive, comfortable on the ball, play making forwards. They all seem capable of chipping in with a decent amount of goals as well as creating opportunities for others. But they all appear to be short of being that go to guy who will get the 15-20 goals a season that will be the difference between being stuck in mid table and making the playoffs. There is obviously a limit to how many of these generalist forwards you can afford to have on the books against having at least one out and out goal getter. Of course beggars cannot be choosers and failing to find a recognised goalscorer who is willing to sign on, we may have to rely on what we have. And the question then will be how many of this type of player can we afford to have signed on. Due to Holmes long term absence and Bell currently being seen as a fringe player, Kneeshaw would give us five to fit into three or possibly a four man forward line, which seems reasonable. But if there is a possiblity of a goalscorer being signed on in the near future, it might well mean that we will be over stocked up front and no place for Kneeshaw.

Don’t see the point in signing another striker at the moment unless he is going to give us something different. We have plenty of nippy skilful players what we need is a big strong holdup player who can bring the best out of the others.

Gary Martin believe he is already training with us. Wouldn't be surprised to see him in the squad for Spenny away.

He can't play for us till after the transfer window.
We will have to pay him well as his pay in Iceland is tax free.

Yes, but he ain’t playing in Iceland at the moment. And AA won’t pay over the odds as he’s stated many times.

Looks to me as though we are just going to muddle along until January when Martin will become eligible to play. Hopefully we can pick up a few points until then.

Or as a Darlington fan who during close season wouldn't otherwise be paid he won't be expecting us to match his professional salary.

Do he still have a contract in Iceland to go back to in their new season?
