Thanks, I’ll head up to the sports shop at Morton park and see if they have any, if not I’ll be manically refreshing the site at 9.59!

Well I reckon if people aren't in the queue before 10am, they'll probably not get a ticket. The game is definitely going to be sold out this morning.

Does anyone know the crowd limit for this game, cannot see it being around the 3000 mark, more likely about 2200.Not sure if the capacity was re-assessed from the original 3000.

Magic of the cup and all that. Oh for an extra terrace to lift the capacity.

I think the capacity is 3,000 for this game. Read figures on twitter somewhere. Walsall got 300, and about 2,700 went on sale to our fans.

Queues at Dolphin centre before 10 this morning, never reduced in size while I was there, cant see them having many left by close of play today.

The ground can't adequately fit 3,000 viewing spectators, there are going to be some very frustrated people on Wednesday. Not a way to win back supporters.

Well maybe if some of the extra 1500 fans that are turning up on Wednesday bought seasons tickets/match day tickets regularly, we may have more money to invest in the infrastructure.

It's a catch 22.

The club should announce it’s an all ticket game now, as the last thing we need is fans turning up expecting to buy on the night. It was originally advertised not all ticket.

What are the alternatives? We need the revenue and people in this town make up any excuse not to attend anyway. If we win, I bet most will turn up for Oxford too.

I'm sure Walsall will be returning a fair chunk of the 323 tickets they have been allocated as there doesn't seem much appetite for it among their fans, especially with live TV coverage. These will be quickly snapped up when they go on sale on Tuesday afternoon.

I think they'll be announcing its sold out.

TBH i don't know why it wasn't given 'all ticket' status immediately, but doesn't really matter now.

Bushead is right, they could have made it all-ticket & then if sales didn't meet expectations, they could have had opened a cash turnstile on Wednesday evening.

Some of these comments don't feel like "the magic of the cup"! We are where we are, put 800? seats in, 1000 standing terrace. Adequate for almost all home games and yes, we'd love another terrace on the open end but it's not timely and it will be costly. Can't we just enjoy the moment? Tall ones at the back, please!
And I think it's we, not they....

Only chance anyone has now is to keep checking for the returns from walsall, and hope that they can get in early for one. Good decision by the club to do as they have re selling strategy. Definitely will be sold out .

Let's give the volunteers some slack Pete, they made the decision on what they believed, (not sure I believed it would be a full house to be honest on a Wed night in November with TV showing game). Some of us are not good at hindsight and this will be a learner if we get through for Oxford game and great chance to push DFCSG membership for the game to ensure a ticket. About 10.30 today there was just a handful of seat tickets left at the Dolphin Centre. maybe more at Mysports shop?
Just car parking tickets to push now.
This is great for the club, getting people re-engage with the club again and even if only a couple of hundred stick with us after for the season it will make a massive difference to the finances.

I'm not quite sure what you are suggesting by that last bit. That we limit the crowd to 1,600 or so? How can it be "not a way to win back supporters" when all the club has done is sell tickets according to the ground's official capacity. To let as many people as possible come to watch the game. Hopefully the small number of Walsall fans attending can be managed in a way that gives the Darlington fans as much space as possible.

The problems at the Halifax game when we had 3,000 were that much worse because the small number of away fans were strung out like a line of washing having been allocated an entire end. If that's addressed this time in some way, then it may well be nowhere near as bad on Wednesday. I don't see the need to be negative about the club just before what should be a great night. People are trying to do the best they can with the ground that we have.

We also have double the amount of seats now.

I think the experience will be much improved from the Halifax game. Remember - we have added nearly another 300 seats, and we've sorted out the views on the clubhouse side too. That alone will improve things immeasurably for over 600-700 people. Hopefully the away end is segregated sensibly so the home fans can spread out a little more too, and people can stand on the bank too.

I hope we use some of the money from TV to build a terrace as soon as possible at the away end. Even a basic uncovered one that can be moved or extended later (and have a roof added of course). It could make a big, big difference to future big crowds. We want these people to come back more regularly. If we make it past Walsall, if we put together a good trophy run, or we somehow made the playoffs.... people will want to come.

Can’t help but worry this has been one person intending to sell on at a profit. Hopefully someone will check the validity of the purchase if so.

I am sure that one person did not put all 192 tickets in his basket and buy them .........,.

It depends how the Walsall end has been segregated. It may be like the Halifax game. If they sell, say, 300, but get the whole end, the capacity of the tie will be 2800, as the open end holds 800.

This amazing response and the fantastic travelling army on Saturday show that there is no other sporting club in this area or anywhere in County Durham that has the potential to draw such major support that Darlington FC has despite all that has been thrown at us.

At the AGM it was mentioned that Walsall will not have the whole end but restricted to away turnstile end with a few needing to get through to the seats somehow, so should be additional space.

I think social media has wet the appitite a bit. The video by Andy Clarke had 460k views last time I saw. The amount of coverage we've had has potentially reminded people.
