Tamworth...

Just looking at the away end we'll be housed in next Saturday and a few hundred of us should be able to get a right old racket going in this shed. Is 500+ making the trip realistic? Seems to be a fair bit of interest growing and this run will certainly boost the numbers travelling.

If enough of us travel they'll give us a third of the home shed down the side as well.

Awful away end where you cant even see the near touchline as you have to keep the gangway clear.
If we are allowed to stand down the side then thats where I'll probably be so I can see it all!

I will be in the seats behind the dug out with my friends from Tamuff and then off to my working mans club for the night.(First visit in quite a few years to both),

Travelling down from South Yorkshire for only my 3rd game of the season. Looking forward to it and hope we have a good turnout with a great result.

I'd be surprised if we take less than 500, I reckon 600 to 700 will make the trip. I've been twice to Tamworth & seen us lose both times, hopefully third time lucky.

In 2016 at Tamworth we were actually top of the NLN for 2 minutes when we got a first minute goal until Fylde scored v Stalybridge.

Other than not being able to see the goal line of course, a major flaw.

Other than not being able to see the goal line of course, a major flaw.
If you don't close your eyes then you should have no problems. Give it a try, it makes games far more interesting.

It's not just 90 mins without food which does belittle the point.
To be fair when you have travelled for 3hrs you expect to be able to grab some food from the ground and we had to walk into town a few years ago, then they eventually let people into the home end to get food after the stewards argued the case for the Darlo fans.
One of the reasons the food at BM does let us down, it's generally poor compared to most other clubs at our level.

Haha very amusing. If you go to the cinema to watch a film and you have some of the view blocked you wouldn't be happy so why should football fans have to put up with it too? People are quick to whinge about the run offs at Blackwell but at least you can see all the pitch.

He’s right the view is shocking, you can’t see the goalline because of the hoardings when you’re stood on the terrace

Yeah, it’s a bit dated. I’m sure we will see a terraced away end at Blackwell sometime soon, but I’d hope it’s more like the tinshed than the Tamworth away end. That old style roof is a pain. You can have a decent terrace, and actually be able to see.

I think the installation of the plastic pitch has affected the view of the goal lines when stood behind the goal. The picture below was taken at the cup match against Hereford and it looks like the pitch is a fair bit lower than the one at the top of the thread which was taken when it was a grass pitch. They must have dug down to lay the 3G and this means unless you are on the fence, the lines will be obscured by the barrier.
They had 1,206 for that cup match, no doubt a big chunk from Hereford. Hopefully they will open up some of the side terracing for our fans as well as behind the goal.

Be good if the Rushden side is filled with brutal cloggers and the match turns into a strength-sapping slog on a bog of a pitch... although sadly the last part may not be possible

Tamworth aren't pushovers we need to work hard make sure mistakes are kept to a minimum and put our chances away when they present themselves, play to our strengths with commitment high tempo and accuracy, if we do those right we should come away with the win.
Onwards and upwards with Darlington FC.

Reasonably sure I can see people stood beside the fence all the way along the length of that picture.
