Is he off? He’s just tweeted “Thanks to everyone who made me feel so welcome.

All the best for the rest of the season and beyond @Official_Darlo”

He’s now deleted the tweet..

He didn’t last long wonder what’s happened.
Looking after finances is a key role, Chris Stockdale DFCSG Chair i’d imagine would likely takeover.
It also leaves DJ as the only official director so he will need support.

Wonder if he'll continue offering board to half our squad?

..
It's a huge commitment in terms of time for someone on top of their day job.

Perhaps too much for a volunteer to do alone.

Him resigning is not necessarily an indication of anything having gone on.

He needs to put his paid work ahead of his voluntary commitments

I would love to know the real reason but I suspect we will never find out. We could do with an experienced FD that has maybe just retired and is looking to keep himself busy - I suspect although this is a volunteer / part time role - the hours that are required for this role are close to full time.

I see now he is Director......of football at Durham City. Looks like he wanted to get involved on the playing side as per his tweets, I can’t of seen Alun accepting that!

He’s also facilitated a new keeper for Spendy. Played against Stockton on Tuesday night in the Durham cup.

He’s also opened his own Academy in the North East. Not sure what his day job is anymore as he’s an accountant, so he’s either Mourinho or just sticking one up to DFC. Whatever good luck to him as he apparently loaned money to DFC.

Thanks for your efforts, JW. Wonder if we can get an FD or CD on loan from Boro?🤔

Ah, the s***-stirrer is back.

Starting off a thread about the Hereford game being at risk, now more stirring about Woolnough.

Every single post, you stir the pot in same way, shape or form.

But you’ve got no agenda Image

Good luck to him.

Hopefully he is still connected with the club / on good terms, so he can keep feeding us talent from the Caribbean! We’ve certainly not done badly out of the arrangement.

Judging by the subject matter that quakersfan tends to cover, he/she strikes me as someone that perhaps was previously closely involved with the club but circumstances subsequently changed. I do wonder whether there is a link between these circumstances and when quakersfan first appeared on this board.

Nope, it was a loan.

From what people have said, it’s been repaid now though; through the cup run money.

The most incredible bit for me is that Durham City have a Director of Football. They are cut adrift at the bottom of the NL Second Division and when I saw them virtually all the players were youngsters, the best of whom was our own Harry Stansfield. I guess they are trying to rebuild after all the blows they have faced.

Not sure what your beef is, I only mentioned he had opened his own academy the Mourinho comment was a joke ffs.

I dont have a beef. I was merely asking why he called Omar a scapegoat when he scored. I never mentioned Mourinho either.

Not your comment it was aimed at Maurice.
