Great result.

Lowest ranked team at home please. One win away from pulling a big League 1 or a League 2 club out of the hat away from home.

Stick the ‘I wouldn’t mind going there for a day out shite’ for the next round, most winnable game at home please.

Hmmm.

Mackems away would be a strapped on certainty for the live game tho'?

(Not that we're there, and we all know the cod-heads will scoop that bonus anyway)

(That's for the first round proper, obviously)

Just clocked that we're just one game away from a potential tie with Sunderland, wow.

I don’t fancy them but Spennymoor or York spring to mind as strong possibilities.
Don’t want either, lowest ranked club at home that’s what we should hope for 👍

Would love to put a beating on Hartlepool next, then away to Sunderland in the First Round.

Belper Town at home would be ideal, but then no opposition should be taken lightly especially in one-off cup matches. We'll probably end up with Stockport, Brackley or York away...

Colne at home would do nicely. Don’t fancy poolie away my heart says Jarrett Rivers will score and help us knock them out like he did for Blyth, my head says they would beat us 2 or 3 nil 😐

Colne or Belper at home would be good as both are be the lowest ranked clubs in terms of division (step 8) the Northern side of the draw.

To be honest, anyone who isn't in our division would be ok, although still a few I would like to avoid especially away from home.

Great performance today, that is after the first half hour when Leamington were on top and missed a few chances. New keeper was MoM for me. As a southern based fan who has seen the Darlo games at Leamington for the past three seasons, today's team were a step up from our previous two unbeaten visits; sensible use of substitutes helped.

Yeah, I was looking forward to seeing donawa as I though leamington might have run themselves out in the first half, when they looked like they worked hard. He was about to come on when we scored, then sat down for another 10 minutes.

Really enjoyed the game today. Our players just look like they genuinely care, which we haven’t been able to say even since the latter days of MG’s reign.

As others have said, Connell was exceptional and a huge part of the victory today. His save straight after our first was terrific.

O’Neill is someone I really hope we can keep until the end of the season. He does offers us more of a physical presence (though he’s not a target man).

And Donawa really excites me too. More than anything, his pace is such a danger to tiring teams later in matches. Three late goals in three weeks tells its own story. I think he and Bascome are heading off on international duty again next week (great for them but frustrating for us).

But as good as it is to have three straight wins, we can do with backing it up in the league. That’s why Boston at home next week is equally important, we need to keep the momentum going. Not helped by an ever-increasing list of player absences.

As a side note, I wonder what will happen with the 1st round, given Bury’s expulsion means only 47 EFL clubs enter at that stage, leaving a gap for one club.

I can’t see anywhere that the FA have announced how they cover that gap. Potentially it could be the case a lucky loser is drawn from the 4th qualifying round, meaning even a defeated side could still make it into the 1st round proper.

The alternative is a side is given a bye at the 1st round stage, but precedent seems to be lucky losers (E.G. us benefiting from Man Utd not competing back in 2000).

This is a strange question...but are Bury expelled from the FA Cup?

The EFL expelled then from their competition, but as far as I am aware they have yet to be liquidated and Bury FC will still hold an affiliation with the FA.

Are they not entitled to enter a team in the FA Cup as a result?

No, as the FA have already confirmed Bury cannot participate in this year’s FA Cup.

See this statement from the FA:

“Following on from their expulsion from the English Football League, Bury FC will no longer be able to participate in the Emirates FA Cup for the 2019/20 season. We are therefore now consulting with our stakeholders regarding the first round proper following their exit from the league.”

Whatever team will give us the biggest financial reward we get 50% of gate money so Pools away would do for me.
