Is Thommo fit for today, as he looked quite crocked last Saturday?

O'neil and Donawa seem to be a good partnership 2 in 2 for Donawa now, keep it going justin well done young man.Team worked very hard and got the result they deserved 20 shots to 7 so team are creating the opportunities now to convert them, well done to the whole team.

First half evenish, without us making the keeper work, there goal caused by leaving one of there players 6 yards out, in middle of goal totally unmarked. Young new centre half grew into the game and did not play badly at all for a first game. Second half we totally dominated, could have had 6. A brilliant result, with a good following of darlo fans, (50% of the total crowd?).
Great result and should provide some confidence for future games.

Billy boy clearly told his route one boys at half-time to sit on it and just belt it clear and justice was done as we increasingly stretched them, particularly through Rivers and Donawa. The lads were absolutely delighted to get the job done at the end and celebrated ecstatically with AA and the fans. Sound debut by Storey in what was a real test against a physical, long ball side. Footballers 2 Hoofers 1. Get in.

Just having some Scran to celebrate in Sutton in Ashfield. Absolutely murdered them 2nd half. Finally we were gifted some softish goals. We totally deserved that one.

Good one to win as it sounded like the ref was not giving us anything. Nearly as big a shock as Japan v Ireland! (Except we were away from home - our 1st in the league this season   )

Ref was fine. Didn’t notice him which is always a good sign!

I thought the ref was pretty good really. It’s always hard when one of the teams are physical. Obviously some 50/50s they were a bit naughty on, but thought we got our fair share of decisions.

Thought Campbell’s misses were going to be our only chances, but we kept going.

Also thought second half we finally realised that if we played to their strengths then we would’ve lost.

Think their manager is going to do himself an injury the way he carries on. My favourite moment was him claiming hand ball when it hit our player on the knee. It wasn’t even that far away from him...

2nd half performance deserved that win and a mention to AA for the game plan and substitutions ... Brilliant from the lads

Delighted. How was Donowa’s overall contribution? For me, it feels like he should be starting regularly.

Donowa played for 25 minutes and was very lively and nearly scored with a shot just a few minutes before he got the winner. Him and Rivers really got them on the back foot and paved the way for the late turnaround. Alfreton were panicking with the pace and trickery down the flanks.

The fact that Alfreton played midweek was pivotal here. Halfway through the second half they visibly faded and couldn’t maintain their hard physical tactics. Credit to our players who kept on going, as it was a bruising encounter.

Also, what is going on at Alfreton. Their support was terrible for a team in a play off position, previously unbeaten at home. I doubt if there were 300 home fans, and they made no noise, gave no support out when their team needed it.
