If it's Leamington it means the fa have immediately put the brakes on our cup run.

People saying they prefer Chase as we will have a better chance need a bit of a rethink.
OK they are mid table at the moment, but have games in hand that will have them hit the play off spots if they win them.
In The Scholars Ground they have a tight quite intimidating ground and in the cup have had some good runs over the last few years.

Plenty of good pubs in Brownhills for those heading down early.
If it’s a choice between mid table from our league and mid table from 2 leagues below you would always choose the latter! Looks like a pain in the arse too get to mind, (should they get through of course!) hope I’m wrong but it looks like the nearest stations about 5 miles away?
Never used trains round there but I would think Lichfield or Cannock are they not not? Confused by your 5 miles?
Lichfield, Hednesford, Cannock, and Landywood stations all pretty much equidistant - 5/6/7 miles away.
True, and all leaving a still pain of a trek to the ground.
Thinking about it and dependant on where he is coming from, if he passes through Walsall I reckon it would be both quicker and easier to get the bus from there, even if it means changing in Brownhills.

Have to say, while it is out of town, Leamington is a lot easier to get to as they do special busses to the ground and back and there is also a bus service to Harbury.

Looking at the highlights we can beat either of these 2.Great chance to progress IMO if we stay clear of injuries.

…..

The Leamington Supporters Trust used to ( & I think still do) run busses from the station to the ground and back again afterwards

Not to Chasetown they don't, but the fact they do to Leam has already been discussed and information posted.

Could be wrong but I still think Leamington will come out on top in the replay having seen the highlights.
Leamington always hold their own in the league and can beat anyone on their day. Dangerous team if it’s them.
Last year we were all over them and 2-0 up. They had a player sent off and we were lucky to draw in the end.
Wright's lack of game management tactics again.
Nothing to fear here.

That’s a rubbish tie, isn’t it? Far away, low crowd, and if it’s Leamington, one we are entirely capable of losing. I’ve not much faith in the away form at present, but here is hoping we can pull something off. That money makes a difference.
Is that the away form that just comprehensively won us a FA cup game for the first time in years.
Leamington are nothing special.

the draw could have been better, could have been worse. Whoever we play, it will be tough, but we are capable of winning or at least gaining a replay. Leamington did lose their main goalscorer from last year. Had a decent start but have tailed off a bit.

Is that the same Jake Edwards playing for them that did Garry Brown with an elbow a couple of seasons ago?

Second red card in 2 games for Chasetown. Both teams now with 10 men and Chasetown still up 1-0.

On another note, our opponents at the weekend Alfreton lost out 2-1 to Kings Lynn tonight. Hopefully bit of tiredness in the legs for our game come saturday.

One kick away from facing one of the smallest clubs left. I really sometimes think this club is cursed.

Does his sending off this evening mean that former Quaker Joe Clark is banned for Leamington next saturday?

Dunno, JE93, but I'm trying to work out why it matters. I thought we were playing Alfreton on Sat :?

The penny's dropped - you mean for the cup tie against us, week on Sat. The answer is still I dunno, mind, but someone here will

Whooops! A lot of different threads on this message board. Just saw the final but didn't know if it had been reported and on which thread.

I take your point, but Leamington are pretty much in the same place as last year when they finished in 13th place, whereas I believe we are in a false position due to multiple injuries. Under Wright last year at Leamington we threw away a 2 goal lead, one of many such games he mismanaged, but this season despite players missing we are fitter, better organised, and with a team spirit that was lacking last season. I believe we have enough to win this tie and progress through to the 4th qualifying round, perhaps after a replay, and don't forget the monkey is off our back now.
