Re: International duty
Never said "definitively they won't do well", just expressed an informed opinion that they would not do well this season.Darlogramps wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 3:39 pmThat’s Hereford who currently sit in the play-off positions, despite everything going on off-the-field.
Early days but it’s nonsense to say definitively they won’t do well this season, when they already are doing well.
Hardly nonsense especially after todays trashing. You must learn not to let your prejudices against certain posters on this forum cloud your judgement.

You literally said “Hereford will not do well this season”. That’s a pretty definitive statement in anyone’s book. It’s pretty comical that you’re trying to pretend you didn’t say it. You’re like the shopkeeper from the Dead Parrot sketch.
They’ve been in the play-offs most of the season, and today’s defeat was against a side who will be challenging for the title.
As I said, saying “Hereford will not do well” is nonsense, given they’re doing pretty well already.

Re: International duty
Do you want a five minute argument or a ten minute one? (I suspect the latter)

That will be the season that started on 3rd August and we are currently in.....August - just over 3 weeks from the opening day of the season

Well done for taking things out of context.spen666 wrote:Darlogramps wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2019 10:10 pm...

“Hereford won’t do well this season” is a daft statement at this stage, given they’re doing well.
Better than Spennymoor at any rate.

Not sure how the season starting just over 3 weeks ago is taking something out of context. You tried to make an issue of Hereford being in the play offs most of the season. The season was 23 days old when you posted that.

It’s completely out of context when you look at the point that’s being made.
Hereford were in the play-offs when the statement “Hereford won’t do well” was made by Banktop.
Indeed, in my original post I even say “it’s early days”, which you ignore. Is there any reason you’re ignoring that?
You can’t have a go at me for talking prematurely, when I’ve even acknowledged this. Selectively picking statements is probably when you never made it in the field of law.
So we can say conclusively you are absolutely taking things out of context. Presumably you’re a little touchy about starts to the season, given how shambolic Uncle Brad’s Mob have been.

Re: International duty
Getting the thread back in track its a bit of a farce the hereford game against gateshead been called off due to international duty. Are half of there team made up of internationals, doubt it
I may not live in the north east anymore but i still support the north east teams
Re: International duty
Not half the team but Liburd and Hanley called up for St Kitts and Nevis, and Reece Styce for Gibraltar.shildonlad wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2019 10:07 amGetting the thread back in track its a bit of a farce the hereford game against gateshead been called off due to international duty. Only need 3 players called up to be entitled to have match postponed
Re: International duty
Let's just wish the lads well and hope they come back in good condition & ready for the rest of the season.

Hopefully they play well and we can flog them for £100k each.
Re: International duty
Any chance Bermuda v Panama gets called off because of hurricane Dorian so our lads will be available?

Re: International duty
Bascome started, but got a yellow card. Donawa came on as substitute in 90th minute but having got back to 1-1, Bermuda eventually lost to Panama 1-4.
Re: International duty
Not forgetting the fact that Bermuda is 1500 km from Bahamas and 1400 km from North Carolina.
More chance of our game next week being called off as Dorian swings back across North Atlantic and we will possibly get a nasty bit of rain.
No doubt Darlo_Pete will keep us informed.

Thank you for the geography lesson I did not know that!banktopp wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2019 2:54 pmNot forgetting the fact that Bermuda is 1500 km from Bahamas and 1400 km from North Carolina.

Re: International duty
Well after Chester being called Welsh and Southport getting abuse for being "Scousers" nothing's a geographical surprise. Not to mention the Fylde seaside, of course.

Or the white elephant in the room is Darlington really in County Durham?don'tbuythesun wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2019 5:17 pmWell after Chester being called Welsh and Southport getting abuse for being "Scousers" nothing's a geographical surprise. Not to mention the Fylde seaside, of course.

When did Darlo get an elephant and does he really sit in two counties?
