Darlington one of the founder members.

Seems to be a mixed list of clubs, some NL and NLN sides. Its not clear why other NL clubs like Stockport & Barrow are not involved

I have no idea why they are not involved, nor do I know why Spenymoor, Gateshead & Blyth are not involved or other NLN sides

I could be wrong, but I believe Gateshead FC have a partnership with Gateshead College & Blyth Spartans have a partnership with Tyne-Met College. The Academy’s are run through these institutions.
