Just a quick update after yesterdays game.

We collected £148 making the seasons total so far £669.

Thank you again to all that dropped in their change.

A further update after the Bradford PA game.

The total collected was £257. This included a very generous donation from yesterdays 50/50 winner, who wanted £100 donated to the Ground Development Fund. A massive thank you from me

Chucked a few quid in, as i always do when i'm at the games.

While the name is self explanatory, can i ask what you guys do with the funds? Like, are the used on an ad hoc basis? Or is there a pot we are growing? Does it get used on ground upkeep etc, or is this going towards whatever we decide next? No issue with any of it, just curious.

I'm pretty certain some of the money was used to purchase the programme/50/50 hut and the cabin which houses the club shop outside Blackwell meadows looks like we wasted money on the battery for the clock though.😁😁😁

It was also used to replace the damaged perspex in the dugouts to give a clearer view. At the dfcsg agm there is always an update on what has been spent . The rugby club will be unaware of the clock so I will mention it to the stewardess and if it is a mechanical fault can suggest that it is set at 12 'o' clock as most fans will either have a phone or watch with them.

The clock hardly ever works. They need to get a permanent fix for it

As stated previously when I mentioned it to the stewardess towards the end of last season she had been unaware of the problem and nobody had informed our SLO. They obviously tried to fix it during the summer which makes me think it might be mechanical so would be best stopping it if so.

That's cool, and a worthy cause. I was just curious! Both improvements help the ground along no end.

An update after the Blyth game.

We raised another £131 which takes our season total through the £1k mark and now stands at £1,057.

Thanks again everyone.
