Fixtures!
Nine games in 32 days to start with, I make it.
Understand their reasons for it, but think it’s excessive.
Evenwood for the Xmas and NYD games makes sense. Will be good attendances for both.

And all the long away trips (Hereford, Gloucester, King's Lynn, Brackley, Kettering, Kiddie) on Saturdays.

Agree - at least put one or two more in September or October. It's a bit unbalanced. I suspect i'm inviting being wrong here, but when was the last time we had a game postponed in those months?Darlogramps wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2019 12:21 pmNine games in 32 days to start with, I make it.

Re: Fixtures!
What are their reasons for this ridiculous schedule? It’s seems to me it’s geared so that two clubs can have a run out at Wembley in May. Two clubs out of 68 NL members that is.Darlogramps wrote:Nine games in 32 days to start with, I make it.

Largely so they get the bulk of the games done before the winter months.Quaker85 wrote:What are their reasons for this ridiculous schedule? Logic being non-league games are more susceptible to postponements if we have a bad winter, so getting more games done earlier reduces the risk of weather-induced backlogs in March time.
But they could easily spread the load a little further during September/October, because nine games in just over a month is bonkers.

Re: Fixtures!
Bit unusual that we only have one scheduled midweek away game, apart from Bank Holidays and that is Curzon Ashton. Normally we have at least one midweek local derby a season.
