What’s everyone’s thoughts on him returning?

The last season he played under AA he scored 32 goals!

Wasn't that at Whitby?
"At a meeting held at the Grammar School on Friday last - Mr Phillip Wood M.A., in the chair - it was resolved to form an Association Football Club for Darlington and neighbourhood. The opinions of those present were so unanimous as to the desirability of this step, that a committee was formed to complete the organisation of the club, and Mr Craven, 17, Garden Street, was appointed secretary pro tem." - The Northern Echo, Monday 23rd July 1883

Think he will be a good signing, lots of energy and good around the box, played well in the 2 games for Whitby against us and pretty sure he scored 2 good goals.Hope we get him and fits perfectly as the type of player AA wants.

Good player, lots of skill, will chip in with goals and a good fit. AA's looking for players he knows he can trust to do a job and Hopson fits the bill.

Why is everyone so sure that Hopson is signing?

Also ex-Darlo which is very important.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.

Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

At only 26, his best years should be ahead of him.

Stoddart has mentioned it in the Echo.

I fear it is old news already.

I noticed Hopson, who is Whitby's captain, put himself forward for interview after their first training session, saying how excited he is about the new season and how much he's looking forward to the big kickoff there and that promotion is the goal. Was talking like someone committed to the cause.

No problems for me as i am happy with the squad and manager as it is for the beginning of the season. To develop as the season develops.

Really? I was told that we’d offered him a deal and he asked for more...

He knows some of my family, and when I asked about him signing for us he said that there hadn’t been any contact made.
