Darlington V Stockport

No idea how this one will go, so I’ve resigned myself to a comprehensive defeat

Am travelling in hope rather than expectation. We've drawn both our games there so far, would be great if that trend continued. If we do lose it must only be by the odd goal as our goal difference v those below us is effectively an extra point and we need to maintain that. Maybe the better surface and lack of expectation will free us up to play some good stuff. I said the other day 2-2 with us racing into an early lead like at BPA but who knows which Darlo will turn up. Hopefully we'll see some subs used...the forward from Huddersfield looks to be a solid unit when warming up

Depends on Will Smith playing for us to get a result Nick. Also would like the young Huddersfield LB given a game but cannot see this happening with Tommy as he seems convinced that Tom Elliott is our best option even though the lad is a very good midfielder. The other young lad from Huddersfield should have come on against Chester as we were struggling up front but enough has pretty much been mentioned about this lately so let’s see what happens today. They struggled to beat Ashton so we have every chance today.Enjoy the game.

That's a blow Adam as I would have fancied us for a result but will be tough to keep them out as Warburton and Bell are dangerous strikers.

We've always raised our games for these kind of matches, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if we got something today. It would be a typical Darlo thing to do.

Either that or we'll get comprehensively outplayed and lose by at least three.

We have been very good and it's astonishing that they have a lead after we have been so dominant.

No surprise given we have no cutting edge. Same in the second half on Wednesday, it counts for nothing if you don’t have someone who can fashion a chance and finish it

Anyone who is astonished at us conceding a set piece right before half time, even when we have been playing better, is very easily astonished.

Tbh we have little option.3 at the back with probably Elliott right wing back and Jackson left wing back. We need to be fairly solid as we should get a goal or 2 the way they are leaking goals.

We played with spirit and purpose in the first half but they scored from virtually their only attack after a freekick. Trotman was booked for nothing in the first half and then got his second yellow for a minor infringement after which they took control.

Saunders fluffed a simple one on one chance but apart from that we didn't seriously threaten in the second half. I'm sure theyve done it a lot this season in absorbing pressure and then scoring from free-kicks and corners after not playing particuarly well.

Embarrassing substitution by TW to bring on Bascome after we had a defender sent off and then further embarrasment when the ineffective sub was subbed for Henshall.

Better than the 5-0 i feared but another defeat in an awful season. At least we're fairly certain to avoid relegation and hopefully we will have a fresh start with the necessary changes made in the summer.

Proud of the team today, everyone of them in my opinion played well and matched a team that could win the league, and were the better team in the first half.

Set pieces being our downfall again.

Battling performance and had a couple of good chances, and possible shout for hand ball in the first half. Players tired a touch in second half but not surprised being down to 10 men.

The Bermudan international looks like he needs a bit more time before being ready and TW made the right decision to take him back off, possibly would have liked to see the young forward on loan from Huddersfield given 10 mins at the end as he looks a big lad who could put himself about a bit.

Overall enjoyed the day out, (although lost my £5 bet for us to win 3-1😀) and given results today our position improved even without the win.
