This Saturday

As we have a free Saturday next weekend, is there anything we could do on the Saturday involving the players to generate some cash for the club ?
Maybe a match between a mixture of youth and first team, remember when at school you would line up and 2 captains ( Wright and White) would select one person for their side and so on, it would be a fun afternoon, players get the training
Fans get to watch paying an entrance fee of course.
I am sure someone could come up with a better idea, it just seems an opportunity not to be missed when the club is desperate for funds.

If you watch Tommy’s post match interview he mentions they’re looking to arrange a friendly, possibly at BM

Maybe a pay what you want scenario with a suggested price may work

What are we charged by DRFC to host a friendly?

Excellent, hope something can be arranged, I usually watch the post match interview after watching the highlights on away games :thumbup:

its occasions like this where we should have an online payment function to “donate” the price of a ticket (instead of actually buying one - to avoid VAT) for those who can’t attend

I was thinking "don't York owe us a friendly" but, on checking, they unfortunately have a game this Saturday.

@quakerpete

Excellent idea that donate button .... exiles may be interested, especially if it includes a digital match programme

Spennymoor v Telford in the last 16 of the fa trophy. Might be worth going to and hoping spennymoor win as if they don’t, darlo won’t have a game as due to play Telford away and will have to go to Shropshire on a Tuesday night.
Admission is £10 adults Saturday

I think we've probably seen enough of Chandler and Co for now, thank you.

Yes, good point. I have on occasions been up to S'moor to watch a bit of footy but at present some members of their team give off bad vibes.

Clearly Chandler would rather have his teeth pulled out with pliers than show solidarity and support for DFC so I couldn't understand why anyone in our club would want to back him in his endeavours. Anyway, has he had his offensive todger slapped yet? :oops:

When I did that it didn’t go well - The Arena felt tired and oversized and i didn’t pick up on any particularly good memories.

DMPRFC were at Sale FC yesterday so it would have been a wasted stroll anyway... and their match at Sale was postponed.
