Put yesterday into perspective
Put yesterday into perspective
Chan, loads of stick throughout game from the very fans swearing next to children, heat of moment from chan, but not from the fans abusing him.
Announcer, Spennymoor have won their cup final, shouldn't of said it, again heat of moment.
Some of your fans, shouting inbreds at the spennymoor fans and outside at the busses, no defence for them, but they didn't realise they were probably the inbreds.
Finally not the best performance from spennymoor, but different class to Darlington, best team won.

Considering you’ve had over 6 years to think about what to post here when you finally beat us that’s a piss poor attempt
Re: Put yesterday into perspective
Your own manager said you probably didn’t deserve to win it but fair play,2good strikes past a moderate keeper.polarbear wrote:Chan, loads of stick throughout game from the very fans swearing next to children, heat of moment from chan, but not from the fans abusing him.

Now go and get your place on Spenny high street for when the open top bus comes along.

Grabbing your crotch 3 times is not the heat of the moment. Once maybe but even then a bit of a pre-meditated act.

What I can’t understand is that there are a handful of fans who proclaim to be disgusted with Chandler yet stand there swearing and shouting abuse in front of their own children at anyone they feel fit to do so. It’s time the club just got rid of these idiots.

You'll always have it though, industrial language whether you like it or not will slip out on occasions. Plus can we really afford to ban every one who swears when we need every paying fan at the moment?quakersfan wrote:What I can’t understand is that there are a handful of fans who proclaim to be disgusted with Chandler yet stand there swearing and shouting abuse in front of their own children at anyone they feel fit to do so. "The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

Re: Put yesterday into perspective
The point is more about the hypocrisy though. Some fans by the sounds of it gave Chandler dogs abuse throughout the game. Not just industrial language slipping out, but constant barracking - and there's plenty of people confirming that was the case.real_darlo_85 wrote:You'll always have it though, industrial language whether you like it or not will slip out on occasions. Yet when he gives them some back, they can't take it and want him arrested.
Chandler was clearly an idiot and has chip on his shoulder about us. But some on here would have you believe our own fans did nothing, which is evidently untrue.
Like I said yesterday, it looks like everyone was just as bad as each other.

It's only cost Brad £1 million+ of his own money to scrape a win at a potless lower half conference north team - he, and you, must be so proud. Money well spent.
Re: Put yesterday into perspective
How smalltime is that
There is no excuse for punching someone for no good reason at a football match. Just like there is no excuse for feigning masturbation and grabbing your genitals at the crowd. Not sure why you seem to think making excuses for it is appropriate.

Re: Put yesterday into perspective
How many Spenny fans there,,,,,let’s say 350, and how many would have gone if it was not for a free ride in a nice warm bus, no walking to the ground, and a nice little stroll back to the bus to be dropped off at a convenient location in the city of Spennymoor. If the roles were reversed and we were sitting 4th in the table, at least 1200 would have made their own way to Spenny and made it a home game. This is the difference between us and them, if Brad Groves ever decides to walk away, they will end up in the Evostick without a shadow of doubt.

Re: Put yesterday into perspective
Spennymoor showed yesterday why they'll never become a bigger club. Despite the offer of free travel, they could only bring around 300. As for Chandler, yes he was getting abuse, but don't a lot of players that go back to their former clubs? His reaction to them getting the winner was way OTT and I would expect a former professional footballer to know that what he did was unacceptable.

Re: Put yesterday into perspective
I rest my case with some of the comments here.
I will say it was a decent following from Spennymoor over 400..... but your obsession with having bigger crowds, never ends, spenny average 850 darlo 1460.... 600 more, not a lot, how many more do hartlepool average more than darlo, if anyone dare to answer, and stockport, is it more than 600.............

250 maximum
250 maximum
Re: Put yesterday into perspective
There were only 300 Spenny fans there yesterday according to the club.polarbear wrote:I rest my case with some of the comments here.

We have sold more home tickets for Tuesday than we did for yesterdays game.
That should give you a clue as to who we class our real rivals as. A tinpot cup with a few reserves playing is deemed as more important than watching Chandler playing with his tiny todge.
Re: Put yesterday into perspective
Spennymoors crowds are decent considering the size of the town. Far better than ours as a % of population. Although of course Spennymoor are having one of the best seasons in their history, whereas we are...certainly not.
Although, all things considered, I did think the away following was pretty poor yesterday, both in terms of numbers and noise.
