Chandler
What a complete idiot. When they scored there winner, he grabbed his privates 3 times as he gestured to the Darlo fans around the dugout. There was a little girl there who saw it all. Why he wasn't substituted when Ainsley was told about it, just reflects very badly on Spendmoor as well. The police were waiting to interview Mr. Chandler in the changing rooms, I presume he will be charged.
Re: Chandler
Classless nob. As Robbo pointed out on twitter the fact the fans paid their wages for them has clearly been forgotten.
Re: Chandler
Badge-thumping Rob Ramshaw also seemed to rile the fans at the end during the World Cup-winning celebrations.
Re: Chandler
Class knob, reff gave them the game unjustified free kicks both off them, spenny did not have a shot from open play, they are nothing to worry about, in this league. Brad better off pulling the plug on the knobs.
Re: Chandler
Ive always been surprised by the utter lack of class shown by Chandler and Ramshaw, given their history with the club. Both clearly good players at this level, but neither have seemingly grown up.
Re: Chandler
Ainsley's response will be very interesting. Brad Groves will not stand for this though.
Re: Chandler
I've always found chandler's behaviour since joining spendy odd given the bond he seemed to develop with fans when he was here.
Easy to fall on the fainting couch after a defeat though, isn't it. We all love it when our own players wind up opponents.

Re: Chandler
Is that true about the police waiting for him?
Re: Chandler
Fans were giving statements to the police at the end of the game, if it goes any further I can see his license being revoked from working with kids at Sunderland. Absolute moron.
Re: Chandler
From what I gather he was questioned straight after the match.Vodka_Vic wrote:Is that true about the police waiting for him?
Re: Chandler
Yep. You need to be CRB checked to work with kids. If something unpleasant goes on his record.....
Re: Chandler
What a bloody idiot.
I don't understand his attitude towards us, to be honest. It's very strange. Wonder if it's on camera...

Re: Chandler
Jamie Chandler has played at a higher level yes.
Rob Ramshaw has hardly had a glittering career where the hell has he played since he left us.
Finally, it’s managers that move players on, not the club or the fans so I never understand players mentality when doing stuff like this. Celebrate yes buck mock no.

Re: Chandler
Perhaps they could be charged with being the game into disrepute. I know that before the incident Chandler had come in for some stick from fans around the dugouts, but there is no defence for what he did, hopefully Kev captured it on film, as it was right in front of him.
Re: Chandler
I don't think it will go any further and I don't think it should.
Re: Chandler
If it had happened in front of my 8 and 10 year olds I'd want it to go further. Whoever it was.
Re: Chandler
Things happen on the spur of the moment in football and players do things to wind up fans all the time. You can't be chasing players down every time something happens. I'm sure we've all seen players making gestures to say we are tossers, sticking two fingers up etc. I remember the Bishop Auckland manager shouting "Wankers" at us very loudly (several times) after they equalised at HP. Chandler is an idiot and went way over the top but personally I don't think it should go any further.

Re: Chandler
Ainsley was told about the incident and he should have done the decent thing and brought him off and sent him straight to the changing rooms. By keeping on it just added more fuel to the fire.

Definitely an idiot, definitely needs a harsh talking to by a dude in a blue uniform and a warning by his club.LoidLucan wrote:Things happen on the spur of the moment in football and players do things to wind up fans all the time. He did it 3 times and he should be charged, if I did that in a High Street in front of kids, I'd expect to be charged. He has no defence.murtonquaker wrote:Definitely an idiot, definitely needs a harsh talking to by a dude in a blue uniform and a warning by his club.LoidLucan wrote:Things happen on the spur of the moment in football and players do things to wind up fans all the time. Did he actually get it out Pete, I wasn't there at that point, so I don't know.Darlo_Pete wrote:He did it 3 times and he should be charged, if I did that in a High Street in front of kids, I'd expect to be charged. If he has flashed children, and there is enough evidence I.e. did Kev catch it on Video, then yes, he should certainly be Interviewed under caution at least to explain his actions

Re: Chandler
I agree that he should be warned not to be so coarse and unpleasant in future but prosecution?.... No. It would be over the top even if what he did was gross and unacceptable.
Re: Chandler
Strangely no mention of any investigation in OR action against Chandler...

Re: Chandler
Not that strange really, it's just rumours on the internet in theory.spen666 wrote:Strangely no mention of any investigation in OR action against Chandler...

However I do believe an incident occurred and it moved on after the game.
Wait and see if anything is announced, shame really as Chandler didn't need to make himself a talking point.
Re: Chandler
Spenny are hardly likely to say: "Great scenes after the winner as Chandler gleefully rubbed his todger in joy in front of the Darlo fans."
