That's a pretty impressive figure with just under 2 weeks to go.Nearly as many as Spenny had last night.AndyPark wrote:Just Darlo, not sure on the Pools sales.Emdubya wrote:Just Darlo or in total?AndyPark wrote:Been told nearly 500 tickets have been sold so far

It can only be Darlo because at the moment tickets are only available on line to season ticket holders and DFCSG members only.AndyPark wrote:Just Darlo, not sure on the Pools sales.Emdubya wrote:Just Darlo or in total?AndyPark wrote:Been told nearly 500 tickets have been sold so far

The home bar is not open? Is this true? Are the rugby club taking the fucking piss? Again.
Luckily I have zero interest in this pointless fixture, so won't be there.

I'm sure plenty of boozers in the town will reap the rewards before & after the game.quakersfan wrote:It’s not the rugby club but looks like Police adviceGhost_Of_1883 wrote:The home bar is not open? Is this true? Are the rugby club taking the fucking piss? Again.

I'm not really sure what closing the bar at the ground does, tbh. I'd argue it'd be better to have people in there. It's segregated, after all. It's not going to stop people having a drink.
Mind you, I think policing is often out of kilter with reality. I don't buy the logic of early kick offs as somehow preventing disruptive behaviour. What it actually does is get the ones who want to get pissed up in the pub a couple of hours earlier than they would normally, and ensures they'll be drunker and causing problems later in the day. Totally counter productive.

Plus I doubt the police have ever tried to buy a drink at the bar when there’s a decent crowd in!

Bit pointless when all of the town will be open and poolie fans shouldn't be in there as the game will be all ticket and they'll be segregated with their tickets.

I was in the bar at the arena before our game with Darlo and, to be honest, the atmosphere and craic were great (not as great as the result though).
Couldn't get in after like, as it was locked off to keep some of your idiots in and our idiots out.

Yeh I've been in bars at away games, which are for home fans only. The best one was at Carlisle I think it was the Beehive just outside their ground. I'm not well liked by Carlisle fans and I went to the bar and 2 Carlisle blokes were talking, saying they were wondering if I Darlo_Pete would dare come to the ground, little did they know I was behind them.OYD wrote:It is stupid Pete.Darlo_Pete wrote:Bit pointless when all of the town will be open and poolie fans shouldn't be in there as the game will be all ticket and they'll be segregated with their tickets.

Ive drank in pubs near grounds and even club houses with away fans and the cracks generally good. Dedicated proper fans of either side generally dont want trouble just a bit friendly banter. On another note whats the crack with salford, a club with there resources who don’t have a club house at all

Salford did have a club house and they plan a new one apparently. That ground is impressive!

As long as it goes off peacefully that's decent money in the bank we probably didn't expect. The cup run we all hoped for?!

No one has argued that there aren't people who are "arsed" about the game.AndyPark wrote:Not bad for a game nobody is arsed about apparently...
The question was one of how significant the match is. Without wanting to restart the arguments, some think it is significant because it's a derby. Others, like me, argue it's not a proper derby and isn't important because it's a youth team county cup game.
As far as I'm concerned we could get a sell out and it still wouldn't make it significant. That's the argument; not whether people are arsed about it or not.

Re: Hartlepool match confirmed at BM
It’s the first time I’ve bought tickets via the club’s website. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Really straightforward and you can print tickets at home and/or just keep them on your phone and they’ll be scanned at the gate. Great stuff!!
