Things looking bleak

Reading through the various topics on Uncovered, a number of writers have mentioned that things could be looking "bleak".
So in the spirit of the season and to get your vocal chords into practice for your carol services, I've ad-libbed some of the words to "In the Bleak Mid-winter", to perhaps sum up our present situation:
1. In the bleak midwinter, Darlo fans did moan,
words were hard as iron, views cut to the bone;
blows had fallen, blow on blow, blow on blow,
in the bleak midwinter, not that long ago.
2. TW, loyalty cannot hold him, nor AW sustain;
fans and hopes might flee away should he stay to reign.
In the bleak midwinter a lower place sufficed
in the NL table, hopes for cup runs sliced.
3. Was darlogramps right all along; should he stay or go,
Stay till end of season; next month, who would know?
Collins injured, Syers gone, all our best blokes gone,
we all know what needs doing, if Tommy cottons on.
4. What can I give them, poor as I am?
If I were a magnate, I’d sign half West Ham;
if I were a Rich Man, they’d never be cut short;
yet what I can I give them: give my support.
