And what will clubs do when they get more money from the FA?jjljks wrote:Infamy! Infamy? They've all got it in for me (another fine Carry On).Quaker85 wrote:A game that will live in infamy

There is something basically wrong and rotten with football and as the old adage says, a fish rots from the head down. FA needs to make sure that grassroots clubs get more of a share of the money generated at the top level. Until this happens, more local clubs will cease to operate and future generations will lose opportunities and interest in the game. Very sad.

Hopefully push it into facilities which can be used by communities, anything to nurture the game, engage with youth culture either formally as academies or even just plastic & flood lit 5 a side pitches that local leagues can use, not just training pitches for league and non-league club teams. Prefer to see it in bricks & mortar rather than used to line the pockets of owners and even players.Yarblockos wrote:And what will clubs do when they get more money from the FA?jjljks wrote:Infamy! They've now got bailiffs in over an unpaid £10,000 bill for a generator.

Agree with Harry, when you see Ramsay allegedly going to be on £400,000 a week imagine what we would do with just a week's money! There's so much at the top and so little at the bottom and yes, it shouldn't be used to bail out club's who've made a financial mess but think of the park/pub/ kids teams who would benefit from nets/balls/decent pitches/changing rooms. Not sure what 1% of all premier League wages would be but that would be a start!! It won't happen but we can dream.

What makes you assume I'm not "socialistic" about politics?

Wasn’t really talking about you, was saying in general. A lot of people agree with what you say regards the PL but when asked to put in practice they go all shock horror.don'tbuythesun wrote:What makes you assume I'm not "socialistic" about politics?

Fair enough FER. It's depressing that they don't see further than the higher echelons of the game. Old boys network at play, always.
