don't think it'll have much impact. Stubbs's career is on the decline. Suspect St Mirren will opt for and an old hand and try steady them - probably with older players. Think Josh will have to wait for suspensions to break into the team.

People have been going on about Vaulks at Whitby. What chance of getting Heaton back on loan? He wasn't even on the bench at the weekend. Would be better for St Mirren to have him here than sending him to somewhere like Albion R or Cowdenbeath. It's no further from Paisley in journey time than it is from Leicester/Birmingham. I'd assume international clearance would be required though.

Heaton is currently injured. Probably out for another 4/6 weeks.

Even if he was fit and available for loan, I think they’d want him to be higher up the pyramid
