Looks like either Ashton United or Grantham then.
Grantham was a good trip a couple of years ago and Ashton United is another Manchester trip, would have preferred Farsley but glad Warrington never got through.

Would love Grantham living in Lincolnshire and having lost Gainsborough. Cracking ground as well. Ashton Utd is a poxy club with very few supporters and a toilet of a ground. So Grantham for me any day.

Granthams ground has a proxy running track round it I much prefer Ashtons ground.. Don't get me I enjoyed my couple of visits down south and rather go there than Manc land.. I'm amazed I didn't end up at Ashton Utd's ground when I went to see us play at Curzon Ashton, as I have a habit of ending up at the wrong ground!
Re: Coming up to the NLN next season from the EvoPrem
Kettering and Weymouth both beaten in the playoff semi in the Southern League last night:
Makes the final Kings Lynn v Slough.
If Kings Lynn win we will see them next season, if they don’t Slough will go into the Conference South and we will see Hereford next season. Think I’ve exhaused the permutations as below
Brackley win playoffs & kings lynn win playoffs = kings lynn in nat lge north, hereford go south
Brackley win playoffs and kings lynn lose playoffs v slough = we get hereford
Brackley lose playoffs and kings lynn win playoffs = we get hereford & kings lynn and brackley move south* (tbc)

A question on this. Why would Brackley be switched if Hereford is further away?

When you say further away, do you mean from Darlo?Vodka_Vic wrote:A question on this. Why would Brackley be switched if Hereford is further away?
I guess it all depends on distance North and from other clubs in each league. On the map the both look similar in terms of how far South, maybe Hereford slightly further North.

Hope we can avoid Hereford, as they will be a serious threat next season.
Re: Coming up to the NLN next season from the EvoPrem
Hereford F.C. are not in a financial position to go full time yet. As such they will probably have a year of consolidation after 3 promotions in a row.Darlo_Pete wrote:Hope we can avoid Hereford, as they will be a serious threat next season.
Because of location may have difficulty in recruiting suitable part time players next season, but having said that they will have a competitive budget because of their very good attendances, better now than football league days.
Re: Coming up to the NLN next season from the EvoPrem
If they go North, I understand from speaking to a few Hereford fans that the club may have a problem as at present, the majority of their current players are recruited from the South and are unlikely to relish having to travel North every away game.banktopp wrote:Hereford F.C. are not in a financial position to go full time yet. They will have to undergo a big recruitment exercise of Northern based players
The clubs who get switched have this problem when they get switched

Re: Coming up to the NLN next season from the EvoPrem
As they're based in the West I presume they have players from the west. Surely they can access enough players from their area without looking to the North? Strange idea to me. haven't they done well to get where they are without someone putting A SEVEN FIGURE SUM into the club?
Re: Coming up to the NLN next season from the EvoPrem
I think their fans have, with an average attendance of 2500, through to 2nd round of F.A.Cup, a run in the trophy as well, must all add up to a seven figure sum.don'tbuythesun wrote:As they're based in the West I presume they have players from the west. Big loss to them next season will be the retirement of player / coach Rob Purdie, leaving to be a fireman. Big loss to us as well in 2009, having been our player of the year in season 2008/9.

Kings Lynn lose to Slough so does that mean we get Hereford?
Personally disappointed as Kings Lynn would have been my 'home in time for tea' fixture.

Re: Coming up to the NLN next season from the EvoPrem
Full Time: Kings Lynn 1 Slough Town 2
That means Slough along with Billericay and one of Dulwich/Hendon are into the Nat Lge South.
Meanwhile Altrincham, Ashton Utd and Hereford will join us in the Nat Lge North with Chester and Guiseley
