Next DFCSG Fundraising Event - Sat 31st March

Post by divas » Fri Feb 23, 2018 4:06 pm

Coming on Saturday 31 March - Silly Things - fronted by DFC CEO: David Johnston

About Silly Things they are a punk rock band who grew up with the music...their combined age is 160 years old but punk rock never dies!

They'll cover all punk classics from The Clash, The Sex Pistols, The Jam, , Ramones, Stiff Little Fingers, The Ruts, Stranglers, Generation X, Tenpole Tudor, The Buzzcocks, The Adverts, etc

The support act is Ste Johnson who has played large festivals all over the country, excellent guitarist/singer covering all types of music from the 60's to the current day.
He is well known in North East and plays pubs and clubs most weekends.

One not to be missed - tickets £5, see flyer for more information on where to grab one.

Am I going blind? Neither the post, or the poster reproduction, say where this wondrous event is taking place. Might be helpful if we knew where the tickets gained us admittance to.

Oops, just re-read it. Too early on a Saturday, sorry.

Well I couldn't go but you can have a fiver from me for the ticket I would have bought if I wasn't away buying £11 pints in Leeds (don't ask...).

£55 to go!

Sorry, Allan, but I'm afraid you will have to explain that. Makes that London look cheap.

Paid £17 entry to a beer festival then bought 8 tokens for £20, each one of which was exchanged for one third of a pint.

£37 for 2 and two thirds pints actually comes to £13.87 per pint, my mental arithmetic on the day clearly wasn't very good.

Jeez...

Ouch. There better have been some stupendously good ales to choose from.
