formation
formation
Was just thinking of this formation:
GK Ed
RWB Marrs
LWB Galbraith
LCB Brown
RCB Collins
CB Hunter
CM Turnbull
CM Portas
CM Wheatley
CF Cartman
CF Saunders
I'm aware not all are fit, but I've found that the main issue with our defenders is when the ball goes over the top they struggle. With Hunter sweeping with his speed, could this improved the defence. This give us a chance to get Wheatley in the team, plus him and Portas have licence to go forward.
Galbraith can get wide and cross in. I'd much prefer this with a few more signings. There's probably some positives and negatives. Thoughts?

Re: formation
TW has gone on record saying he prefers 4-5-1 / 4-3-3 so can't see him deviating too much at the moment
Re: formation
Hunter is still some way off fitness surely?

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Re: formation
Formation is only part of the issue. Team spirit, togetherness and attitude are also important. This is where I believe T.W really can make a difference.
I've just been looking at the team that looked so toothless against North Ferriby back at the end of August. We had Beck and Ferguson playing and also the mighty Martin Gray and co on the bench, but we still couldn't get it going against the worst side in the league.

Re: formation
Cartman and Saunders would be utterly toothless.

Hope so, certainly that would be a lot sooner than I had heard. Hope you’re right.Darlofan97 wrote:Back mid-December hopefully.
Re: formation
Heard Hunter had a setback and isn't expected back any time soon.
For you to insult me, I must first value your opinion.

Come on Pete, I'm expecting a much better trolling attempt than that.Darlo_Pete wrote:That unfortunately isn't going to get us out of the predicament we find ourselves in.Darlogramps wrote:Yeah but they run around a lot and are Darlo through and through. I know that you know I'm being sarcastic, so if you're going to say something that gets people to correct you (which you get off on), at least make it better and more intelligent than that.

They are the only real option at the moment. I could have put (other potential striker)Darlogramps wrote:Yeah but they run around a lot and are Darlo through and through. Got to start.Beano wrote:Cartman and Saunders would be utterly toothless.

Don't worry, I wasn't having a pop at you. More the general attitude towards players like them, whose limitations get overlooked under the vague premise of them being "Darlo through and through."D_F_C wrote:They are the only real option at the moment. Re: formation
Well TW answered the question about formation, he prefers, 3 5 2 or 4 3 3 depending on the opposition and players available.

It's seems you're all for people having opinions, so long as they're not different to yours.
