Yeah, no blame attached to him, and the defence is absolutely chronic, so his job hasn't been easy. Also, echo what others are saying about Ed, but it's still disheartening watching the clubs best players picked off, with no sign we can replace them properly. The defence being a shambles has been the case long before Bartlett was here though. Gray doesn't know how to organise a defence, and never has. I think that will be a priority for TW & AW.

Assuming we'll need to bring a back up keeper in? Unless they think whoever plays for the reserves is up to the job. Agree with whoever it was that said they'd snap hands off if we were offered survival in the league this year. That'll do for this year, we've a major rebuild on our hands. Relegation would be a disaster.

My god yes it would be... our crowds would plummet... one point our former SG director made on social media is that right now, our main priority is survival, not the ground... I agree completely.

We had one season where the defence conceded a lot of daft goals but to say it was a shambles is a total overreaction! Virtually the same defence performed very well the season before in the Evostik. Despite the defence being a shambles as you call it, we still made the play offs.

Seems to be a trend across the NLN that there aren't many clean sheets kept by any side.

Might it be the case that defences across the board in the division aren't brilliant, or even that there are lots of very good forward players.

Our defence was good enough in the Evostick but it leaked a lot of goals last season proving that some had found there level, and it has continued this season, why cannot some people not accept that fact,no one is complaining about the effort the players put in,some are just not good enough for this league.Likewise our front men cannot compete because they are to small and light.
