Perhaps a bit like Brexit? Offer to pay a bit more and things start happening.

If that were to be the case nuneaton would likely think he couldnt be trusted as far as they could throw him.

Well, just because we contacted a north east club doesn't mean we didn't have another option.

Never have all your eggs in one basket so they say.

It comes from the Latin 'in' and 'minere', meaning 'upon/towards' and 'to project'.

These combine to form 'imminere', meaning 'imminent' or 'overhanging'.

Impending, or about to happen.

Dunno what to make of it really. There was a lot of people convinced that Hardy had accepted the job, was it all disinformation in the end?

Did people assume that because Hardy was interviewed, that automatically meant he was the man?

Perhaps it was just as simple as TW impressed in the interview more than CH did.

I think this job has come too early for Chris Hardy and whether he could handle such a big jump from Whitby to us, like chalk and cheese.I had doubts about him filling such a big role and I am a lot more comfortable with Tommy and Alan, very good appointment in my opinion.Certain we will get a good gate tomorrow, now let's get back to winning some football matches again.

Few people saying he had been interviewed and accepted the job - obviously wrong.

Maybe he was and JT told Tommy Wright the situation and gave him one last crack?
