Time to stop
It's time to stop alluding to who might/ might not be our next manager and let the board do their job in appointing the best available person for the job.there has been some rubbish written on posts this last week especially from Pete. Let the board get on with the job and wait till they announce who they have selected. Trust in them they know better than us who will suit the position.full backing from me for our board to get it right.

I do't think this is about speculation Pete. I think it is more to do with what people are actually saying while speculating...Darlo_Pete wrote:Like that's going to happen. Stoddart is one of the worst he speculates on his titter account and then his group of followers just re tweet without checking the facts. I guess speculation may lead to a few more paper sales, as people may think the Echo knows what it is talking about, when it probably doesn't.

What I'm saying is have trust in the board,
They deserve to be allowed to fulfil the task at hand. Without pressure from the keyboard warrior,s. Christ the job is difficult enough.
And these people give their time as volunteers.

Agreed...
The board will know what there doing and we have to back them, I want answers as well, but I am happy to wait for the time for the new manager to be announced.
I would much prefer a drawn out process in finding the right person rather than a quick panic signing

I am quite comfortable with the temporary managers, and if Beck becomes available again and we don't just play route one to his head which was Gray's only tactic, we will start to score goals again.
We will not be in a relegation battle, probably not into play-offs either.
A season to catch our breath and keep building the infrastucture at BM. Perhaps another shortlist needs to be drawn up. (previous applicants need not apply).
Perhaps not, but whatever happens we must trust the board and give them as much time as required for them to appoint the right manager.

Yep, I think the board might want to perhaps invite more applications, or maybe seek permission to talk to a certain club about a certain manager who may have made an enquiry about the job but not sent a CV in.
I'm not sure after choices 1 and 2 from the interviewees turned us down, that we should re-visit that list and ask the 3rd then 4th best, unless the 7 applicants were really exceptional.

I supose its possible, though unlikely, that all seven interviewees 'passed' in the sense that the board considered all of them suitable. All of this takes time, especially so as it seems real life has caused one of our key players to be out of action for a few days. These things happen - the decision they make will impact on our on-field development for years and those performances will have an effect on crowds, morale, income etc. The important thing is to do it right, not to any artificial self imposed timescale.

Yes, I would expect that all those except the final two would have been told "Thanks, but no thanks". You can't keep people hanging around for weeks just in case. So we either advertise again or approach someone and hope for the best. Ultimately it all comes down to money. Maybe we are looking in the wrong sphere, given the infrastructure works. We actually need a TV firm doing a makeover program, not Grand Designs \ Small spaces (another George did that for us already) or Escape to the Country (done Heritage Park) or Locating, Location (stuck at Blackwell Meadows) but more like DIY SOS!

I have more faith in him, assisted by the other 2 boards members, getting the process right, given he does it day in day out rather than the "guessers" on this thread and others.
