Darlo Uncovered

There's an article in 4-4-2 about this, they surveyed all 92 clubs... Obviously Darlo weren't in it so thought it would be fun to get it going on here...

My other club Swansea chose Aidan Newhouse, who in what proved to be his last game, went through on goal, rounded the keeper, was fouled but as the ref was about to blow for a pen, Newhouse got up to slot the ball into the vacated open goal but somehow put it wide... Then later in the game, the ball fell to another of our players on the edge of the box, but as he was about to pull the trigger, Newhouse inexplicably kicked him in the back of the leg...

Paul Beavers. Looked impressive running on to the pitch - but that was as far as it went.

Ton Kark "better than Gabbiadini" Reynolds proclaimed. Very funny George/LOL

I didn't think Kaak was *that* bad. Certainly not worst of all time bad.

Offiong was one that sticks in my mind. He somehow, by wandering all over the place, made a pro career for himself, which is mind boggling. He was falling over his own feet most of the time.

Paddy Deane, Noel Whelan, Ashlee Jones, Rikki Bains - in fact, just pick any of Staunton's signings.

Offiong had talent, he just had no application.

Remember his debut for us in the FA Cup on loan from Newcastle? He was great.

Trying to work this out is just the worst thing to do. It has reawakened all those memories that I had managed to successfully repress, mainly thanks to alcohol. Will probably have to resort to hypnotism or have a lobotomy before I can sleep peacefully again. We need to be positive & look to the future.

Slightly off topic I know but there was talk on one of those threads about Lee Ellison. I remember seeing him in his second spell absolutely s*** faced in the Mardis. His eyes had gone. To be fair it was no more pissed than we used to get, but me and my mates weren't professional footballers.

Ashlee Jones. He got one game when we lost at Notts County and I've never seen anything like it before or since. Phil Stamp was a better keeper.

Craig 'fucking' James is up there as well.

Craig James is high on my list. Woeful player with appalling discipline. From memory, his set pieces were his only saving grace.

Bartlett the new keeper... Just made two howlers

Steve Tupling and Bernie Slaven.

For me it's vassen woeful at best.

Tom Kaak actually improved game on game, but still wasn't up to Football League standard, maybe because he needed Dutch standards of passing and movement.

Offiong didn't seem to be bothered with his loan spell.

The worst is Dean Windass with his few outings being an absolute disgrace,, with his being quite a few stone overweight and far too unfit & slow to have qualified for even a short run out.

Got to agree about Windass. He just didnt care. Liversedge definitely worst keeper. Please somebody tell me hes now playing for some Premier League club

Windlass said down here in York in a evening with that he should of never played for us and he were embarrassed how bad he was.. At least he were honest

We had a big gangly centre forward, came from a Chinese club I think and was Scottish, forgotten his name but useless.We discussed him at the Halifax away game, Vodka Vic you know him.
