Commentary is now back on, we seem to be having trouble with our formation and their pitch. Radio seems to be very intermittent.

FT 0-1 bit of a struggle, but when do we ever make things easy for ourselves?

Not made good results for us amongst that lot, but if we can keep winning, then we'll move up the table.

Not long back... What a god awful team they are, we had loads of chances to put the game to bed but failed...
I have to say the pitch were one of the worst I've seen for a while.. But a valuable 3 points

I thought Turnbull was excellent (my MOM), perhaps a rest and a few words from MG have done the trick. Falkingham also had a good game and Saunders showed a few nice touches and lots of energy.
Their keeper made some great saves but how often have we heard that this season as an "excuse" why we didn't score more? I think the simple fact is that as in a number of positions, players at this level are better than we have faced before, therefore we just have to be more clinical in front of goal.
I don't think the pitch was that bad, it didn't cut up too much, the bounce was even. The touchlines were admittedly like Southport beach! As you say 3 points and lots more positives than negatives from the game.

Apparently there are only two teams in the top 7 divisons who have scored more goals than we have (Fylde and Forest Green Rovers). Whatever problems we have, it isn't scoring goals.

we are not saying that but when the score line is tight and playing a poor team you need to be more clinical....

It looked to me today that we were getting back to some of the form we showed earlier in the season. They could barely get a foot on the ball in the first half and we knocked the ball about very well on a difficult pitch. Falkingham and Turnbull were superb in the engine room together and the defence was by and large solid with Ed well protected. Yes, we should have scored more but we created plenty and I left the ground feeling hopeful that we can kick on with a good run at the business end of the season.

Thought we tried to play a lot of football yesterday from the back and up front on a pitch that was challenging and generally we were decent.

Ferguson, Falkingham, Turnbull & Cartman all done well especially at keeping the ball and short passes rather than the longer ball we sometimes play a little too often. We really should have won about 3-0 and put the game to bed earlier but very good to get clean sheet with a good save from Ed late on.

Hopefully gives the lads some confidence going into the last 9 games of the season as we seem to have lacked a little self belief of late. Shame Brown hit 10 yellow cards for a foul that the ref could have not carded him and considering the foul on Falkingham in the 1st half which the Stalybridge player failed to be carded was annoying. Brown will now miss Brackley and Bradford PA matches which will mean Hunter to CB and Marrs at RB or Galbraith comes in at CB.
