Travel advice for Chorley next Saturday

Post by uncovered » Sun Jan 29, 2017 3:05 pm

Hi, below is some useful info Chorley fan mark has sent us regarding travel for next saturdays game away at Chorley.

"Those travelling by train to Chorley on Sat 4th should be aware that Chorley train station is closed on weekends up until early-mid April. You will need to get a replacement bus from either Preston or Bolton - the replacement bus will take almost twice as long as the train. We suggest at the very latest get the 10.39am train from Darlo - thats the last rain that will get you into Chorley with time to spare - get an earlier train if possible. If you are a fast walker it takes about 10 minutes from the train station (where the replacement bus will drop you) to Victory Park.

If you are coming by car, there is plenty of off street parking all around the ground, plus two small car-parks just off Duke Street.

If the game is not segreated (which we hope its not) you are welcome to come in for a drink in the big Chorley FC social club - situated inside the ground, just before the Duke Street end. It has BT Sports (no Sky sorry). Just to the left of the big TV sceen inside the social club, is "Matts prgramme and badge shop" - which has one of the best selections of both league and non-league programmes and badges in the country. Get yourself a pint then come and have a mooch!

Anyway we look forward to seeing you all at Victory Park next Saturday, and hope you enjoy your visit - apart from the result of course!
