Re: Hignett leaves poolie

Re: Hignett leaves poolie
Disappointing news. I hoped Hignett would get the chance to take poolie down, still I guess someone else will get that honour!!
Re: Hignett leaves poolie
Careful what you wish for Pete, if the Poolies went down again they might find their level and actually win something!

Re: Hignett leaves poolie
I think they've got a fair way to drop before they find their level.
Re: Hignett leaves poolie
The job looks like it's put 10 years on the poor bloke.
New Manager for Pools ? Least of their worries atm.

Re: Hignett leaves poolie
They do seem to be stuck in a cycle of starting badly, sacking their manager, bringing in a new boss who keeps them up.
Then the cycle begins again.
Then the cycle begins again.

Regardless of who comes in, there's apparently all sorts of loans/winding up petitions at Hartlepool. Plenty to worry about for their fans.
Re: Hignett leaves poolie
Hope he is the one with the locker , cos you know what Poolie is like with MonkeesMr_Tibbs wrote:Dave Jones, allegedly.bga wrote:Hands off MG Hartlepool!
Re: Hignett leaves poolie
They should be able to get out of it relatively easily with a CVA though. They don't have to worry about their ground being a saleable asset that would go in any administration event.al_quaker wrote:Regardless of who comes in, there's apparently all sorts of loans/winding up petitions at Hartlepool. If they don't go down I do hope we can get them in the FA Cup first round next season...
Re: Hignett leaves poolie
I've heard from a couple of people they've taken money out on the ground... albeit it against the physical fittings and steel work in one of the stands. Not sure how that would work of if there is any substance to it but I've heard it from a couple of people now. So while the land might be safe it makes you wonder what sort of state the ground would be in if the worst comes to the worst.lo36789 wrote:They should be able to get out of it relatively easily with a CVA though. Re: Hignett leaves poolie
It's not looking great for them, is it?
I hope they survive (but get relegated, obviously).

Re: Hignett leaves poolie
the owners of Pools are a joke, what do they expect Higgy to do with a crap team and he only had 2 and a half transfer windows to change it, they should never be looking further than staying up, their whole infrastructure is a lot weaker than more than half of the teams in that division
Re: Hignett leaves poolie
A couple of crippling administrations and a few seasons in non league will do them the world of good.Henley wrote:It's not looking great for them, is it?

Oh IOR, where are you now?
Re: Hignett leaves poolie
I find it difficult to imagine a scenario where it would be cost effective for whoever has the security to remove the bit they want - as surely they'd have to ensure the safety and structure of everything surrounding it?TFDM wrote:I've heard from a couple of people they've taken money out on the ground... albeit it against the physical fittings and steel work in one of the stands. I'll just correct that for you, Q.Quakerz wrote:A couple of crippling administrations and a few decades in non league will do them the world of good.

That's exactly why the rumour is a load of bollocks.lo36789 wrote:I find it difficult to imagine a scenario where it would be cost effective for whoever has the security to remove the bit they want - as surely they'd have to ensure the safety and structure of everything surrounding it?TFDM wrote:I've heard from a couple of people they've taken money out on the ground... albeit it against the physical fittings and steel work in one of the stands. It sounds like Poolie could do with that money from Billingham Town.Sussex07 wrote:What goes around...

They'll probably be outside the Limitation Period now, though.
Shame.

Tax bill then basically. HMRC take pittance in a CVA they don't have the resource to do anything else. To be honest they are quite trigger happy with winding up orders and rarely comes to anything.

What a shame he was doing ever so well. If Poolie dont get wound up it'll probably be the National League for them next season. If only Darlo could join them!
