I will stop short of saying for definite that today was his 150th for the club, as I was one short for Thompson's 200th, but I *think* that he reached that milestone today.
If so, well done to him. Came with a warning in 2012 that he would spend a lot of time suspended! But he has been a fine part of this club since originally signing.
Only Scott, Thompson & Galbraith have passed that mark under MG.

Re: Gary Brown
Not a bad defender considering he has stepped up from Northern league but listening to some fans who have slated him in the past for having no skills is beyond belief... I'm certainly one of his biggest fans, yes he can get sent off and give penalties away but which defender don't... 110% is Browny and let's hope he goes onto 300+ appearances

Re: Gary Brown
I think that Brown has only been sent off once for us and that was against Lancaster this season in the FA Cup.
Re: Gary Brown
He was clearly a higher level player than NL. Was only really there because of Durham's relegation and basically lack of opportunity to play higher in the NE.
Great attitude and really bought into the club - very Carragher-esk in his style - has been an absolutely key part of our progress in the last 4 seasons.

Re: Gary Brown
I've got Brown on 151 now (147 starts). He has been sent off on another occasion, an NPL cup game against Whitby.
I've got Galbraith on 181 and Scott on 188. I could do with checking all this though.

"At a meeting held at the Grammar School on Friday last - Mr Phillip Wood M.A., in the chair - it was resolved to form an Association Football Club for Darlington and neighbourhood. The opinions of those present were so unanimous as to the desirability of this step, that a committee was formed to complete the organisation of the club, and Mr Craven, 17, Garden Street, was appointed secretary pro tem." - The Northern Echo, Monday 23rd July 1883

Re: Gary Brown
That's the problem, I generally can't remember if I've counted DCC / League Cup fixtures towards the total, given how pointless these games have actually been.
