Anybody going to Rotherham on Boxing Day?

Post by Darlo_Pete » Mon Dec 14, 2009 12:29 pm

I've more or less stopped going to away games this season, but I'm thinking of going down to Rotherham. I hate the Don Valley Stadium for watching football. But Rotherham is the second nearest away game this season and I feel I should be there to witness what will probably be another big tonking. Is anybody else planning to go down?

It was pencilled in at the beginning of the season, but I don't know if I can be bothered to go to Rotherham, with the time, money and effort it entails, just to see us lose about 6-0. I'll probably make my mind up on the morning.

It's not our second nearest away game of the season

Yes I went to Leeds that was my last away game, but I was talking about League games.

Message board regulars shouldn't be left to assume, you should have clearly stated that you meant league, and possibly also what season you meant.

Pete.

Do yourself and the family a favour.
Put your feet up. Enjoy some crap TV and tuck into some turkey sarnies while watching Final Score.

No one in their right mind would freeze their bollox off at the Don Valley in the exceptionally bleak mid-winter.

In a spirit of fraternal helpfullness note the following courtesy of AA route planner:
Darlo- Morecambe= 88 miles
Darlo- Accrington= 89 miles
Darlo -Sheffield= 96 miles
Darlo-Rochdale= 101 miles
Darlo - Bury= 110 miles

Of course Darlo to Hartlepool is only about 27 miles but there are major impediments to playing us in the near future!!!

If the pirhana decides to invite any of her side over for a drink or nibbles, will be at the Don Valley like a shot.

BP claims to be a Darlington Supporter in his profile. As a double-agent he is fair game for execution by either Club.
