Jameson didn't have any chance with the goal, when will we keep a clean sheet again?

Darlo have been completely on top as well. Jameson could have done better according to the commentators.

Re: Halifax v Darlington Match Thread
Darlo just edged it, Halifax were constantly fouling which went unpunished by the ref. Gillies and Brown were the stand out players. Jameson was poor at best and should have saved both goals - bad positioning and anticipation for the first, and weak handling for the second. Great vocal following from Darlo fans. Very cold!! That sums it up.

Re: Halifax v Darlington Match Thread
We were the better side, but 4 points from Halifax is a decent return. Ref left literally everything go - frustrating, but at least he was consistent. Jameson again question marks over both goals, although the second was preventable by others too. Other than that we played pretty well. I hope Gillies is ok
Re: Halifax v Darlington Match Thread
Gillies went off injured. Worst case scenario is dislocated shoulder.

Re: Halifax v Darlington Match Thread
Just back from the game. A really entertaining match. We deserved at least a point and on another day would have got all three. Both of their goals were avoidable. Jamo launched a kick to no one and they broke and scored although Jameson might have at least dived for it. We played well and could have scored before Gillies excellent goal. Their second goal was horrific from a defensive point of view. We had a corner And Thompson and Gillies decide to play it short then put in a horrible cross which they clear to halfway, Marrs and Turnbull are both drawn to the ball leaving Morgan alone. I was screaming put him on his right, but he came inside and shot into the corner. Jamo got his hands to it but wasn't strong enough to keep it out. We came back and equalised though it didn't look like a foul by Burgess. Darlo played well today. Brown and burgess, Scott and Cartman were the standouts for me. The ref was absolutely shocking. We are used to Beck being pulled about but how they didn't get more bookings is beyond me.
All in all terrific spirit, team ethic and work from all.

Re: Halifax v Darlington Match Thread
Pretty much agree with your summary. What I dislike about short corners is it means we are always going to be outnumbered in the box or on the edge of the penalty area. Also having tried one that was cleared easily admittedly for another corner, we tried it again it was a piss poor cross by Gillies and they counter attacked (we outnumbered at the back?) and scored. Have to say I thought generally Marrs had a good game today so I would rate him a 7 or 8 but football is all about opinions really isn't it. Finally how can we get Thommo more involved in games like this he seems to drift in and out? Away support was fantastic today. Not too disappointed with a point.Darlobaz79 wrote:Just back from the game. A really entertaining match. We deserved at least a point and on another day would have got all three.
