Pints at ground

Post by bigrichiet » Fri Dec 23, 2016 2:15 pm

Am I right in saying there's no general bar open on Boxing Day?
Someone said we've no licence for a marquee but can't see it anywhere

That is correct the planned marquee has not materialised in time, and I believe it also may have been on a police advice not to sell alcohol outside ground on this occasion
So have a drink in town and get to BM in good time

Think the club need to make an official announcement or there will be some disgruntled people on Boxing Day because not everyone reads this forum

The Rugby Club do have a licence but with all the effort on the changing rooms and a Xmas shutdown I'd imagine the marquee will be ready over next two weeks as the RC are keen to get it sorted.

I've heard that season ticket holders on presentation of your ST can get a pint in Joe's Bar in Victoria Road, pre-match for £2-50, which is a great gesture.

Official announcement here http://darlingtonfootballclub.co.uk/dar ... nd-advice/ however you just know not everyone will see/read it. It's not the best as we need everyone in the ground early but can't offer bar facilities.

Makes no odds to me personally but I know it will affect a number of people, basically like Feethams before the East stand was built so we really are taking it back to the old days.
